“Don’t mention it.” Amara waved his hand nonchalantly as he followed alongside the other as they walked. The person he’d offered to help, would offer be the right word though?, didn’t seem as if he was too worried or upset about the words those people had thrown his way and, as much as hearing it had made Amara’s blood boil, he still wanted to make sure no one would try anything. Sure, people normally only wanted to talk big but in case anyone got any funny ideas hopefully the presence of a second person would dissuade them. And if not well...he healed fast. It’d work out somehow, he was sure of it.
His hands shoved themselves into his pockets and he shot the other a bright grin. “I’m Amara, by the way. Oh,” surprise colored his features and he glanced down to the bag the other male was holding. Removing a hand from his pocket, he gestured towards it. “Do you need help carrying that? It looks like it’s heavy.” He hoped he didn’t come across as implying that the other was weak but...well...
