Aldiirn's guardian is more an idealized version of Mal instead of replicating him 1:1. Hitting on traits Aldiirn values and using the clan's rhetoric of giving the aid you can without expectation to get the little guy to cooperate with the plan. Except, Aldiirn remains cautious, because Mal never speaks that goddamn much and Aldiirn knows full well the clan DOES want returns.

Game Night  || Closed Starter

Evie smiled and shook her head as she made her way down the hall of the boys dormitory. She was still six doors down from Carlos and Jays room, but she could still hear the excited shouts of Carlos and Mal as they played the latest video game, the young boy had downloaded.

Game nights had become a tradition between the three of them ever since Jay had joined tourney, they’d often stay up late, laughing and competing in one way or another until the dark haired boy would come home, excited to show off and strut across the room telling them how he had done that day. 

Evie wasn’t much of a gamer girl herself, but It was a way for them to be together, a moment away from the rest of bustling Auradon. Something she wouldn’t trade anything for. 

Stopping in front of the door, Evie heard a loud raucous laugh float from the hardwood and let out a small giggle wondering what had happened now. Raising her hand to knock, Evie jumped back as the door swung open.

A Malena no le entraba la cortesía en su carácter. Examinar a la figura non grata rondando en la casa que optó por desvalijar era una pésima señal para lo que le quedaba de noche. Ella no iba a abandonar el recinto solo porque la otra hubiera creído que iba a llevarse algo de valor, se preocupó en que la madera no quebrase bajo la punta de sus botines y aunque su pose era amenazante no realizó ningún movimiento en falso “Esta casucha forma parte de NUESTRO territorio y por tanto, los bienes serán para NOSOTROS” se refería a su banda, Los Buitres.

I wanted to have a nicer portrait of Mal ready to go with the comic but only managed a sketch. Outright aimed to make Drowman Reedus but he didnt look right without scruff so he's half-drow now, which makes him more of a role model for Aldiirn at least.

Mal has nigh legendary renown within the courier clan but to outsiders he's just that guy who's inexplicably level 20. He'll go a whole tenday delivering cargo without sleep and then just pass out for a whole 1-2 days at the distro. With the amount of boostshrooms Mal consumes, Astarion would liquify from being within 10ft of him.

it's too funny to me having a Sam Porter expy as Aldiirn's idol because like. Aldiirn does so much to carefully curate his appearance and chat up clients and then Mal just does the job without a word or care that he's showing up covered in every form of grime the Underdark has to offer. But it def meant a lot for Aldiirn, rejected by lolthite society, to meet another half drow guy who is highly successful and respected in his profession.
