two is better than one-part 2
Wendy nodded as she grabbed a couple more things and she wasn’t even going to try and explain the whole situation to Drake at the moment. Not like they had the time to.
“Better hope no one moved that box,” she pointed out.
“Only person who could is Effie and I doubt she would.”
Remy had Wendy handle the portal this time. She still wasn’t feeling her best from it but Wendy seemed to have bounced back better. She tucked the vial safely away before she took her sister’s hand to at least help a little with it. A few minutes later they were both outside of Effie’s.
“I think I’m keeping that box as a souvenir,” Wendy mused.
“For what reason?”
“Nine chances out of ten we don’t see something like that again for a long time if at all.”
Remy rolled her eyes as she went and crouched next to the thing. It looked innocent enough but she knew that was only because she could get away with touching it without hurting herself and she didn’t hear the noise it was making.
“You sure you want to help?” Wendy checked again.
“I’m fine.”
Remy took the vial out and put a few drops of the blood on the top of the box before she smeared a line of it on her forehead. Tossing it to Wendy she copied her before they each grabbed a side of the box.
“I liked that rabbit for the record,” Remy told her sister with slight annoyance.
“Yeah well you don’t undo this without sacrificing something. Now lets get this over with and see if it even works.”
Remy didn’t say anything as she nodded at Wendy and waited on her before they both started together.
“Luna dono damus viribus pro hoc facto opus veneficas.”
It was repeated a few times until either felt anything. Not like they could miss that kind of reaction anyway and they both dropped the box when it felt like it had shocked them.
“I always forget about the bite back on those spells,” Wendy muttered as she shook out her hand. “You ok?”
Remy didn’t say anything for a minute and when she glanced at Wendy she was giving her a funny look.
“I’m fine,” she answered after that. “Just...haven’t felt that in a long time.”
“I bet. I did warn you.”
“It’s fine,” Remy insisted.
“Well you think it did any good?” Wendy gave the box a kick before she picked it up again though it was hot to the touch. “You should call Seth and check.”
Remy was still wiping her palms on her jeans as if that would help, but she heard Wendy.
“You should see how Effie is. I’ll be in in a minute.”
“Don’t wanna shake this at any wolves to see what happens first?” Wendy teased. “I’m going I’m going. Calm down.”
Remy barely registered Wendy’s joke anyhow as she got her phone from her pocket while the other went inside the apartment like asked but with the box still tucked under her arm.
