“Yes and I have an amazing family,” Asher told her with a smile. He was glad Remy like talking to him. In the beginning, they didn’t exactly get along. “I am too. How about you show me some of your favorite paintings you’ve done?”

“Yeah alright. Then you could tell me some more about you working at that museum in France.” She wondered if that was strictly Asher or if that was something that Seth did at some point too. If he had she hadn’t heard about it.

“Thanks. That means a lot to me.” Since Asher’s whole family was gone, it was nice to have something, even if they weren’t blood related or whatever. “Yeah okay, I’ll go over there after I’m done visiting you guys.”

“Sometimes family is who you choose anyway,” Remy reminded. Given he almost didn’t stick around she was glad that he had. It would have been easy for him to give up after everything but at least that hadn’t happened. “Sounds like a plan then to me. I’m glad you decided to visit.”

“It’s pretty subtle,” Asher said. It was only a few times he sounded like an idiot when talking about places or history. Otherwise it was whatever. “You want me to?” He asked curiously. “I guess I could. I should probably talk to her more anyway.”

“You’re still family even if you’re not with Wendy. I know Seth thinks the same.” That didn’t change because of anything. She’d always consider him to be. “I think Effie would find it funny after she realized and she might enjoy a visitor.”

“I know they probably won’t understand it until they’re older but there are some differences. Like the Salem in this timeline didn’t have the witch trials. And we’ve had multiple world wars while you guys over there only had two, I think.” It was strange how a world could be so similar but also vastly different at the same time. “Sure. Why not? I’m not sure how to do it but I can wish for it if I do.”

“I’ve noticed a few things but I guess now I’m getting used to it enough,” Remy told him. She was sure the kids would learn different come school than what she had based on history. “Well once we figure that out then I think that’d be useful. You know, since you tricked me maybe it’d be funny if you popped in and tricked Effie. I was going to ask Seth to see how she’s doing but it might be more amusing if you did.”

“Yeah but I don’t want you to worry about anything either,” Asher told her. He’d hate if them going over there put Remy and her family in danger. “Maybe I can use my last wish somehow for that.”

“It’s fine. It’d be good for you to get to see everything again I’m sure. I bet the kids would love it.” With hers they liked getting to explore when they first got there and everything was so new to them. “You think?”

“Aslyn, the kids and I will probably start making trips over here if you’re okay with it. I want the kids to know about this world too since it’s where I came from.” Wendy never wanted that but he didn’t think Aslyn would mind going once or twice a month or something. “Really? Well if anyone can do it, it’d be Sam.”

“Of course. This timeline was your home way before it was mine, Asher. It’s cool that you’d still want to come over here and see it.” After all the chaos that had happened she’d get it if there were bad memories. “That’s what I said. He’ll manage to find something.”

“Good. I’d appreciate if you guys were there.” Asher thought of Remy as a sister even if he wasn’t married to Wendy anymore. “Yeah that sounds good to me. I know you guys wanted that. You deserve it.”

“I like any excuse for all us to be together again. We’re all so far apart anymore.” Some had no choice but they still figured it out and made it work. “It ended up being the best decision, Sam’s working on a way to make it easier to visit people though since Effie’s been struggling with that lately.”

“I don’t blame you,” Asher said. “You came over here to get away from that stuff. No reason to go back. But you still have to come to my wedding.” That or maybe he’d talk to Aslyn about doing it over there somewhere. It could be nice given it was technically his home. “Well it was really well done,” he said looking over at it again. “It feels like a weird emptiness.”

“You know I won’t miss it. Like I said there are exceptions.” Remy would always show up for her friends or for family. Nothing got in the way of that. “Thank you. It might be good to try and get rid of some and give it new homes somewhere. Other than that things are rather quiet here which isn’t a bad thing.”

“I hope so,” Asher said with a little smile. “A gallery? That would be really neat. You’ll have to invite me when you do. I wasn’t lying about working in the Louvre so I know a thing or two about art.” He thought she could easily get some fans based on what he’d seen. “Art is meant to be made out of emotions to that’s perfect.”

“I’ll make sure someone lets you know. I visited Sam a week or so ago but my ability to go back over there is a little iffy. I guess I’ve gotten so used to the calm of here that it gives me anxiety to go back. I make exceptions though for friends or apparently weddings.” Remy could for those things at least. “The one you pointed out was after I had died and lost my memories for a while. It was meant to show this blackness that I felt stuck in and like I was trapped in my own head.”

“If it even works still,” Asher added. It didn’t say anything about a time limit but he wasn’t sure how that stuff worked. “So what have you been up to now that you know it’s me? Looks like you’re doing something with some paintings?”

“I think you might have some luck on your side with that.” Remy was a bit optimistic though so hard to say. “Yeah Seth had an idea to do a gallery with them and then see if I can’t sell some too. I never really thought about it since it’s just something to get my emotions out but it sounds like it could be fun. I’m running out of room anyway.”

“Thanks, I am too.” Asher was still waiting for it to be a dream or something but it wasn’t and he was happy for that. “Yeah I’m trying to be. I don’t want to waste it on something stupid but I also don’t want to do something so big it has major consequences. Like I’d love to wish for world peace or to end world hunger but I know that’s not realistic.”

“I doubt you’d waste it on something stupid. You seem to already have the good ideas so you’ll figure it out. I’d just think of things that maybe you need that aren’t too major or something like that,” Remy told him. “If there’s nothing then it probably wouldn’t be too big of a deal to hold onto it until you think of something.”

“I was scared at first but then I remembered if I let that fear run my life, I’d never do anything. Aslyn is amazing for both of us. She’s great with Sophia and she helps me get out of any ruts I put myself in.” Asher loved that she could make him smile even on his worst days. “Yeah. I also wished that the demons couldn’t come near us, so that’s been nice too. No worries about Wendy or Boyd or anyone else.” Thankfully. If they did try to come around, Asher didn’t know about it. “I still have one wish but haven’t figure out what to use it on.”

“It sounds like you’ve both figured out things then. I’m glad you’re so happy.” It was better than the rut she had seen him in before. Now at least he could be in a healthy relationship with someone. It sounded like even Aslyn could use something like that. “That sounds perfect. Not having the demons to worry about would be one of the best things. I think whatever you do wish for you should be smart it. It sounds like you have been already though.”

“I don’t know. Aslyn and I still mange,” Asher told them. Not that he was about to go into detail. “Thanks. After what happened with Wendy, I wasn’t sure but we found a way to make it work and now we’re both super happy.” He worried about Aslyn a lot of the time but it seemed like she was finally over Boyd. “Well this magic totem appeared and said it could grant three wishes. So I used one to turn us back into wolves.”

“Fair enough.” Remy figured he was probably less paranoid about being caught though or something like that. “I was going to say after what happened to Wendy I wasn’t sure how you’d be about being in another relationship. I’m glad you took a chance because it looks like it worked out.” She was glad he had stuck around in the end. “Magic totem? Guess I’ve heard stranger things but I’m glad I no longer deal with those stranger things. At least it ended up helping.”

“Sounds like someone needs to be doing more around here then,” Asher teased Seth. It did get him to blush though as he excused himself to go check on the kids. “Yeah, we’ve gotten really close, especially lately. There’s just something about her that I absolutely love and I want to be with her forever. We’re wolves now again too. That’s probably another reason you thought I was Seth.”

“Hey, be nice. It’s a little difficult with kids around but you should know that.” Remy gave Seth a kiss on the cheek before he could get far as a sort of apology. “Judging by the way you talk about her I can tell. That’s good news. You definitely deserve some happiness after all the stuff that has happened.” She was glad that even after it he was able to rebuild his life. “You are? How did that happen?”

“I knew the suggestion of sex would be a give away,” Asher laughed. Apparently not enough of one but still. “I am. I asked Aslyn a little while ago and she said yes. So you guys better come to our wedding.”

“I mean I may have saw an opportunity and ignored all other warnings too,” Remy defended. Nothing wrong with that. “That’s very exciting. Congratulations. Of course we’ll be there. I didn’t realize you two were that close.”

“I know. I kind of thought you would have picked up on it. I guess I’m that good of an actor,” Asher said. He was slightly offended though that his appearance didn’t give himself away. Maybe he needed to cut back on the pancakes. “I mean, I wouldn’t hate a kiss but-”

“No, uh-huh,” Seth said giving Asher a look.

“That’s what I thought,” Asher laughed. “That’s okay. I’m engaged anyway.“

“I thought it was odd that Seth would pick the darker painting. Then he gets all flustered when the kids are around so that didn’t make much sense but I guess I just brushed it off,” Remy explained. Again the other timeline was meant to be safe so not like she was paranoid about the usual things. “You’re engaged?”
