It had been a good 6 years since she last saw Grant, well really she only saw him once and it was when they slept together and ever since then it has been six years of her being a single mom to Kiera, which was something she loved but would also love for Kiera to have a dad. As she heard that he was back in town she thought he would be at the Halloween party so she made sure to be prepared to tell him. Drunk her would have more confidence to say such news as that and since Kiera was at her parents for the night. As she saw him, she smiled as she walked over to him, “Grant. Hi, Welcome back! How have you been? How was your time away? Where were you again?”

That much was obvious. Romilda’s leg was bleeding more than a bit, staining her jeans. And by god, it hurt. A fight with a vigilante gone wrong. She’d gone out without backup, and she’d made a split second error. Only when you were human and the people you fought weren’t, a split second error was enough. Romilda gave Grant a sarcastic smile and shrugged. “Hadn’t noticed. I’m fine.”

But her casualness was undermined when her leg would barely hold her up. She grabbed for the nearest wall with a groan. “Dammit.”

M: Hi Loxley, it's Mariska here, Grant's Mum. Is Grant with you? Have you heard from him?

L: Hi, no I haven't heard from him in a couple of days. Everything alright?

M: Grant went to a festival two days ago and hasn't come home. We have no one to contact, no organisers. Polly isn't here so we can't send a letter. We don't know how to contact the school now it's summer.

L: Oh he mentioned the festival. Wasn't it a weekend thing? He's probably just out of cell range, wix folk like to do things pretty far away from the muggle world. Can you get to Diagon Ally? You should be able to send a letter from there if you like?

M: He was going to come home on the first night then go back for the second day. We thought he might have decided not to, but then he didn't come back today. Where's Diagon Alley?

L: Oh, I'm not sure then. Did Bellamy go with him? It's in London, I thought he might have taken you at some stage. Umm, maybe I could send an owl out to you guys? And you can use it to send him a letter?

M: No, Bellamy has other commitments this time of the month. That would be good. We are quite worried, it's not like him not to contact us.

L: I'll head out to my aunt's in a couple of minutes, an owl should be there within the hour. Keep me posted ok?

M: Thank you. Could you also please ask his other friends and let us know if you hear anything?

L: Yeah of course

Bellamy waited outside the Gryffindor Common room fidgeting with his robes. While the fabric was one of the softest he owned, the sleeves irritated the sensitive skin around the bite mark on his wrist that he kept carefully disillusioned. So, he was fidgeting. First with his clothes, then anxiously with his hair that honestly looked the same as always but Bellamy couldn’t help thinking that his curly hair was falling into his eyes. One time while trying to push his hair off his forehead he poked himself in the eye with the flowers he was holding. He had very rarely given Grant flowers and wasn’t entirely sure which ones he liked, but after nearly every full moon Bellamy would wake up to new flowers by his hospital bed from Grant. Surely his boyfriend had a preference for one of those if he was constantly giving them to him? He had transfigured a new set of knitting needles into the flowers he held and was impatiently waiting for Grant to come down so he could give them to him.

It was getting warmer, finally, and Sonder was celebrating with a half-shirt he’d bought in the women’s section. He didn’t understand why they gendered clothes when he was a boy and looked so damn cute in crops. He needed to feel a little happy, after all, as he headed out to the lake with a spade in his arms. “I’m burying my tarot cards.” Sonder explained to Grant, who he had roped into helping him. “I predicted something... Not nice. And I don’t want them around anymore, so I’m giving them back to the Earth.”
