Now, I originally gave my variant of Lust a circlet tiara thing because I needed something to weigh down the veil id draw them with. And I like the ones Dream and Nightmare have/had. Hence the one in my drawings.

Bc in my personal idea they wouldn’t just be a guardian of specifically sexual lust. I think it’d be over the broad definition of Desire. Wanderlust, ambition, longing, the feelings that drive people forward towards their goals.
Now, it could mean sexual desire, but also the desire for reconciliation between loved ones, the want to turn an idea into reality, the ambition to start a business or save someone. It, like the wide array of Positive and Negative emotions, is complicated and nuanced, but don’t always fall cleanly into one category or the other.
Desire is neither good nor bad, positive nor negative, inherently. It just is. But is often skewed negatively to be seen as greedy, overly indulgent, or in some cases predatory. And lust being mislabeled in this way would make sense, as desire is often associated with sex.
Idk I’m mostly yapping here but it’s partially now why I draw lust the way I do lmao. I love diety and diety-esque characters sm.
