Ever since the moment they met in foster care as boys ...... Gabriel and Blue have been as thick as thieves.
For some strange reason, Blue's steady, calm demeanor and Gabriel's messy and chaotic energy ..... just seems to mesh perfectly?! Though not related by blood, they're brothers. So, it was a foregone conclusion that once Gabriel's stint in prison ended, it became Blue's mission to ensure Gabe got back on his feet. And that meant using his connections to get him a job as a linecook at the popular restaurant "The Oxheart", as well as a spot in Blue's band as a bassist even if it's to the chagrin of a few members.
A shapeshifter, but instead of it being some mystical beautiful transformation it’s bloody and gory visceral. You can feel every bone splinter and tendon snap. You can feel your blood like molten steel in your body, rapidly adjusting to whatever the temperature is of the animal you chose.
Hello hi yes I have a Sniper OC named Virtuous Justice Mannington and he literally came to be in a dream as an old aristocratic Sniper and I decided to put him in existing TF2 clothes and stuff since I am still working on his clothes that showed up to me in a dream.
He's absolutely whaling on my friend @mrmoonytoonie 's evil OC Leader because Virtuous is a father to all Scouts regardless, since he just feels bad for Scouts of all types.
This was originally going to be a joke doodle but I unexpectedly locked in and put in effort so now it's part of Virtuous's characterization.
Did Leader survive? Will Leader ever reach his Deadringer in time? Tune in next time, to Dragon Ball— wait

ILO —— HOW DOES A BOY BECOME KING?
HOW DOES A BEAST BECOME BOY?
i. personal hcs.
he’s painfully aroace
he loves caius more than anything; his brother, his guiding star. he would do anything—would give anything—to make his brother proud, despite it being caius’ hand that threw him out in the first place.
he loves so genuinely, so wholeheartedly. i wouldn’t call him naïve by the sense of the word, but ilo is someone who takes promises and words to heart and gets incredibly upset when people lie to or deceive him.
he has very frequent nightmares of his childhood and being tied and burnt on a stake. i think this only really started to settle down halfway into his journey when he finally started finding companionship in both melina and torrent. ( for like, the entirety of ilo’s exile outside the lands between, he was alone and tormented heavily by violent thoughts procured by the beast he keeps inside of himself, so i think finding someone who finally isn’t afraid of him and is willing to stick by his side despite knowing the truth of his nature really helped him overcome his dehumanization of himself as well as his trauma. )
he knows how to woodcarve, a habit he picked up from caius who used to make little wooden figures for his little brother because they couldn’t afford to buy any toys.
ii. on melina. ( separate section because i have immense brainworms. okay. )
lovers??? friends??? they are a secret third thing. they are soulmates in my head,, and whether what they have is something romantic or purely platonic, the line blurs very heavily inbetween. i don’t like putting a label for what they have for this exact reason.
i think this is really the only part of ilo’s story that i don’t have it in me to turn into something dark and gruesome as the rest of him. i’ve always intended for melina to be the most integral point of ilo’s life ( alongside caius ), because i want them to learn from each other. i made ilo’s character to purposely complement melina’s for this exact reason.
she is, in a way, the only light in his life. she is the purest form of love and companionship that ilo has and ever will experience, however fleeting it would all soon become once ilo’s journey ends. it was supposed to be a transactional relationship at first, but i do wholeheartedly believe that it soon morphs into something pure and tender over the course of their time together. i like to imagine that melina never really expected to develop anything more with ilo beyond treating him as a means to an end, but i do think they both eventually come to develop something more genuine as time passes by.
orpheus and eurydice ; eros and psyche. star-crossed and destined for tragedy. but it was beautiful while it lasted, wasn’t it? you were real.
he makes little flower crowns for her during stops on their journey.
he likes consulting her for her opinion quite frequently 🥹 he always makes sure to consider melina’s thoughts on any decision he might make, even during the earlier parts of their ‘accord’. it’s less that ilo is using this as an attempt to form a connection between them and bridge whatever gap, but mostly because he’s just like that. 💔 he knows what it means most to be abandoned and have people’s eyes glaze over you, so he takes it upon himself to be kind and considerate towards others who’ve placed their trust in him.
to add more to that, i think this is what really helps steer their relationship in a manner that allows them to be close. melina has spent the majority of her existence observing the lands between, purposely choosing to remain on the sidelines while trying to understand humanity as well as her own purpose, that having someone reach out and see her with such unbridled ease is just,,, an entirely foreign concept to her. i don’t know what she thinks of humanity, but i’ve always had this idea that she’s completely disconnected from it, all while simultaneously being the only one out of all of marika’s children to understand and see the beauty in it best.
and ilo is so human, so painfully mortal—and melina has never met anyone quite like him, who treats her as if she herself is someone worth seeing, worth paying attention to; that she might be someone more than just the purpose given to her. that she, despite everything, might be human.
it’s an incredibly special bond for both of them. they’re both such lonely creatures, both beings who yearn for love in their own way. ilo is only someone who wants to be held—to be tethered to someone without expectation, to be seen as more boy than beast. and melina yearns to be above more than her mother’s own desires, to commit to something out of her own volition, to be more person than purpose.
in the end, they both find what they’re missing in one another.
“when death takes my hand, i will hold you with the other and promise to find you in every lifetime.”
