Hara wasted about a good 20 minutes searching for scraps around her apartment before finally deciding it was time to restock her food supply again. Grocery shopping wasn't her favorite thing in the world, it made her so hungry for foods she knew she couldn't afford. Having no more than one job and an apartment in the dead center of Seoul, it was wise for her to be frugal about her money. Which meant lots of rice and whatever was on sale. Cheap, but filling. She was surprised she hadn't managed to get scurvy yet, really. But surviving on a low budget was nothing new to Hara.
The small girl grabbed her coat and and started walking out of her building and to her destination. It was about a 30 minute walk to her preferred store, but she didn't mind. It kept her from getting fat. Even though it's not like she couldn't use a little of it. On her way, Hara noticed a girl wandering about in a section of a city she usually used as a short cut; that no one really passed by from what she could tell.
"You lost?" she asked half-jokingly, blocking the sun from her eyes. It was then that she realized that the girl probably was, and seemed to be. So Hara began walking towards her, willing to help if it was indeed needed.
