Do you ever get jealous when rping? How do you handle this?

I feel like I'd be lying to myself it I said no. Jealousy is a feeling I think everyone has but it's how you behave with that feeling that makes the difference. I try REALLY hard to make sure I'm not being petty. But yeah sometimes I see interactions/events happening amongst characters and I can't help but feel that tinge of being left out. But then I sit down with myself and think a) did I really try to reach out to them in the first place? b) would I even have the energy to interact in a timely fashion?

I've been on this hellsite long enough to compartmentalize (I think) so I kinda just 'be and let be'. I'm thankful for the interactions I DO have and the mutuals I keep in contact with (and the ones that equally put effort to stay in contact with me) so like...yeah it's been a while since I've felt 'jealous' of interactions I see on the dash.

Hey, everyone! I hope ya’ll have been having a great weekend. Happy Mother’s Day!

She does not expect to run into Ryujin again so soon, but here she is, faced with the god once more. She doesn’t really know anything about Japanese deities, but she looked him up when she heard about him the first time and it said something about water and dragon, and really that’s where she lost focus because the next thing she imagined was her father wrestling a water dragon in some epic Godzilla-type movie showdown; and let that just be the first image that came back to her mind when he’d introduced himself to her last time.

This time, too, she is reminded of the visual, but there’s nothing she can do but clear her throat and feign surprise at his appearance rather than the reality that she’s trying her utter best not to snort out loud. “Ah,” she hums, rubs her nose to hide her smile and then glances past him for a moment. “Not in the slightest, I’m just...” She pauses again, glancing in a different direction, trying desperately to come up with something to say.

Little does she know that her attempt to hide her amusement is so convincing that she looks uncomfortable more than anything, and like she’s trying to escape any sort of conversation with this god, as if he might be either scaring her or just simply the most awkward encounter she’s ever had in her life.

It’s just then that she remembers reading this Japanese dragon god had a very large mouth and so she slaps a hand over her mouth, turns one-eighty degrees away from him and quite literally runs off to go hide out in the ladies bathroom. Nope, she can’t handle that today without laughing her ass off.
