The medic bot waves a dismissive servo while his attention remains on soldering the ding on the smaller bot's helm.

"There is no need for thanks." He mutters, something there more than his usual disgruntled tone. "You've been injured, it's my duty to help."

For reasons perhaps not fully understood by him, Roz was important to Optimus. The leader of the Autobots had a reputation for a large and welcoming spark, which Ratchet was known to see as a problem from time to time. So Roz's appearance was not always well received, especially at the beginning. But she had shown to be helpful in the med-bay which even Ratchet couldn't deny. She had been here helping when the earthquake had set some paneling loose which fell on the diminutive bot. Though Ratchet wouldn't voice it willingly, he was glad the humans were not in the base at the time.

Roz was at least made of sturdier stuff.

"How are you feeling?"

"I said it was dead!? I thought you said it was dead!" The panic pitched Banzai's voice as they watched the antelope, which really hit the lottery, bound away.

"It was!!" Banzai sounded just as distraught as the young hyena. Or at least just as confused. The 'it' in question was a snake that, just a few moments ago, had been curled up, mouth open, letting out quite the deathly stench. But as soon as Banzai had given its tail a little nibble the thing hissed (gave the both of them quite a fright) and slithered off!

Collecting himself still, Banzai lets out a long sigh as he tried to calm his heart.

"Let's...not tell Shenzi about this."

“Oh, of course not, madam. If coin is what you need, I am more than happy to provide. Unfortunately, all I have may not be much, but I think it can be sold for the local currency.”

Truth be told, given the state of the Broken World, in certain parts of the surviving nations, currency in the form of tokens has lost its value. Bartering is the preferred way to go for some. Though Nils is able to procure a little pouch bearing something most societies may still find useful.

In the pouch are some jewelry of different degrees of gold, from necklaces to rings. Some of them very old and dirty, but can be appraised to fetching prices. Enough to eat well and not worry about a house and home for a good while.

Nils leaves out the part these were looted off dead bodies.

“Would selling these do?”

She hadn't even been discussing payment, merely materials, but now that the conversation has been taken there, she wasn't one to deter such a topic.

"Oh it nae gotta be coin at all. Jus somethin' t' cover the costs an labor."

Her head tips as the pouch was procured, eyes widening and analyzing. Tail giving an excited little flick. If he's willing to show off this much trinkets offhandedly he surely didn't put much personal value to it. Maybe didn't even know how much the items were actually worth.

Pippa gives a quick thumb through the pouch, the smallest item in the bag finding its way into one palm while the other wing makes a more obvious show of taking a closer look at a long braided necklace.

"I get the feeling I shouldn't be askin' ya where you got these from." There was a knowing and non-suspicious glance given back to him.
