“You can stop now” Iris spoke abruptly, cutting off the speaker, in the middle of listing off their past experience. She had been bored by the entire interview, and was already mentally crossing them off the list of potential hires. “I’m going to be perfectly honest with you. While your resume is fine, your interview has been nothing short of abysmal, and I am not the type of woman to waste my time with anything substandard.” The blonde was short and callous, leaning forwards slightly. “So unless you have any way else to convince me you are worth my time, you may leave”

Iris was in the mood for a new toy, and this was the place to get one. Never one to enjoy large auctions and outbidding others, she had gone to an old friend, who dealt with things in a more civilized matter. Or as civilized as one could get when you were buying and selling slaves. Wandering down the hall, Iris kept her expression blank as she considered the variety of people on display for her to consider. One younger male in particular, caught her eye, and she paused, considering him thoughtfully. “What can you tell me about this one?”

when the casting door opened, iris immediatel waved off kennedy. dark eyes watched the other walk out and then new form walk in. "cute, isn't he? quite the ass on them," iris aimed a smirk at the person who sat down in front of her. "an excellent planner as well. but she's busy with other clients in more than one way and i'm looking for someone who can do the same he can. if you catch my drift."

a quick, but deep breath. iris could handle this. she had made other squirm worse than jocelyn was currently doing to her. but it was so hard not to want to surrender to that look the other was giving her. “typically i’m in your position,” iris confessed with her tone still controlled, her smile twitching further up. “we could. but we could also wait here. maybe reach a...conclusion with what we started here. then go from there?”

iris looked across the table at her boss with an intense gaze as the other casting department closed the door behind them. “are you keeping me here for reasons beyond just...work?” they had recently gotten involved and iris was doing her best to keep it hush. her face didn’t change, but her voice was soft, her legs uncrossing.

“you’re not the first person to be denied a job,” iris gave them a shrug. it wasn’t meant to sound cruel, not at all. being on set was high strung and cut throat. actors, directors, writers, best boys, grips, so much more. one hand ran through her hair and with that iris turned fully towards them. “you’re not going to get the job based on being here alone. you’re going to need to do more.”
