If young Angrboda wasn’t outside exploring nature, you could usually find her in the study; practicing spells and studying magic. Today happened to be one of those days where she spent most of her time there, delved completely into some mystical novel.
At the present moment this was the only escape from her parents, which were desperately trying to find her a suitor. She didn’t understand any of it. Angrboda wanted to grow up and become the one and only fearless leader of her people. Of course, this was all in her angsty and rebellious stage which it didn’t help that her personality was naturally independent and stubborn. The way she saw it, she would never find someone as equally strong or intelligent as her that could deal with how difficult she was.
Each time her parents brought a new boy home she would give an exaggerated sigh in annoyance, ignore them, mock them, roll her eyes every time they spoke and basically do everything she could to make it obvious, she’s not interested.
There was a knock at the study door and she sighed; peeking up from her novel. She could just tell it was her parents. “What is it?” Her mother and father slowly tip-toed into the room. An rested her head on her hand and gave them the “I don’t care, let’s get this over with” look.
“What’s behind door number 1?” She mumbled sarcastically as her mother and father blocked the door to the study. As if she didn’t already know what was happening.
“An.” Her father spoke firmly. “We have someone we’d like you to meet.” He opened the door to the study now fully, exposing yet another suitor. Angrboda had to admit he was handsome. But handsome was certainly not enough for her.
“Hey.” She murmured with attitude. The irritable teen leaned back in her chair, crossing her arms and legs and avoiding looking at the suitor or her parents.
