HELL wasn't some fiery netherland where the devil resided. no. hell was the town of WESTVIEW. that being said, even hell had it's own HEAVENLY aspects. at least, to pietro maximoff.

the events that took place surrounding the residents and town of westview under the control of wanda maximoff had worn off several months ago. it was safe to say the effects of the westview anomaly had both benefits and losses. a loss was: vision, pietro's dearly beloved brother in law. losing vision just added an unwanted hollowness to the speedster's life, and an even more severe one to his twin. something neither would ever recover from.

there was a HUGE benefit that balanced the aftermath of the whole chain of events out though. and that benefit was: DARCY LEWIS. the pure and overwhelmingly perfect love that had entered pietro's second life. and god, did pietro LOVE her....

and despite knowing the brainiac for only a few months, he had no doubt she was the sole positive in his life.

“Momma, hey! I brought a few of the kids, they made something for you-” Ralphie pulled himself onto the worn down bus, followed by a taller brunette who held two babies and two identical twins tripping over each other. He pushed reddish orange locks of hair out his face as he groaned. “Kiddos, hey, up the stairs on at a time, c’mon..” 

After a moment, the kids finally calmed down and looked around in sheer wonder, holding onto Ralphie’s legs. “Sorry about the ruckus.”

     ---”Been running into all kinds of ghosts lately.” humor ebbs between words; a light tone. one’s gotta have a sense of ease in a situation like this; when skeletons start pry’n their way out of long dug graves. and he ain’t REALLY surprised. Captain Amari was the kinda woman, the kinda soldier that never knew how to quit, even in death it would seem. but, she’s older now, grayer, wiser probably. and damn if he ain’t happy to see her. stocky fingers pluck hat from his head and presses the thing to his chest as a sign of respect.

     ---The glass in front of him remains untouched; it rattles some while his leg bounces wildly underneath the table. it’s been a long few days---long enough for the kid to break out the whiskey. ( and really, he ain’t even old enough to be drinking. funny though, since they think him old enough to use a gun. funny though, since they think him old enough to kill. ) eyes stay downcast; caught between the grooves of the creaky old table. really, he’s a million miles off. sure, he’s home, but his heads stuck on in the field. clouded with dust, buzzing with gunfire, bogged down with orders. the kid’s tired; ain’t slept since they got back. 

     ---It’s only once Gabriel’s within a foot's range does Jesse shake himself from the fog. Eyes peer up at, shoulders hunched as though he’s cold. and he feigns a smile---fake, and practiced, while fingers are quick to wrap ‘round the aforementioned glass.

– You should be... You should be DEAD... What on Solar are you ? No... NO NO, this is NOT logical. How can this be I - I... I don’t -- Andross is going to kill me if you’re not -- No no no -- ❞ Leon takes a step back, wracking his brain for an answer as a look of complete shock and confusion overtakes his face. Nearly bumping in to his table that presented all of his instruments of torture, he stops and swallows thickly. Was he having a panic attack ? Was that what this was ? The hand that held his blade uncurls and the weapon clatters to the floor, the same hand flies up and clutches at his chest as he hyperventilates. Too much was going on and he couldn’t anchor back down to reality. When Andross gave an order, he fulfilled it. He HAD to, and if he couldn’t kill this specimen and deliver the body to him Leon was surely going to be killed. Or worse, Andross would have his mother tortured to make an example out of him. The thoughts racing through his mind where too much, he couldn’t think. He couldn’t breathe.

– H - How long have you been standing there ?! ❞ The prince inquires, a shocked expression on his face as he spins around on his heels to face the stranger. Cloak gently blowing in the night breeze as he takes a step back, had they recognized him ? Most likely. Slowly his hands rise to pull the hood of the robe closer around his face to effectively hide himself. There were many other chameleons in his kingdom yes but one could never be too careful. ❝ A - Answer me. How dare you lurk in the shadows and spy on me, who gave you the right !? ❞
