[[ HAL is afraid of any animal that’s bigger than him, even if the animal is docile. He’d rather avoid them.

As for the small ones, he’s fine with them as long as they don’t attack or threaten him.

AKA HAL sucks at dealing with animals. He doesn’t hate them- he mostly fears them and feels nervous in their presence. ]]

Although HAL is a weird individual but mostly calm, one way to get him to do a complete 180 in record time is to threaten or attack him. As soon as he feels threatened by someone, he’ll fight back.

Somtimes he may go a little far in an attempt to either scare off or immobilize the threat. He’s aware that he doesn’t look menacing at all (tiny and skinny) so he’ll attack until the threat backs off. 

The bad thing however is that due to his good ol’ paranoia, he may often register threats wrongly. If you suddently grab him he won’t find it very fun and will most likely at the very least threat you verbally. At worst he’ll hit you.]]
