This headcanon is going to talk about Kid's backstory (which’ll be changed if we actually get a crumb of his canon backstory... come on Oda). It's hinted at only, but there is some triggering content so gonna put it under a read more. Can't believe it's taken me this long to write... Obviously it’s very condensed, but eh. Maybe I’ll expand on it and make a proper post one day, but this is just so people can get the gist of where my Kid’s coming from.

Kid didn't have the greatest of upbringings. Both parents were essentially deadbeats, going to the point of selling their own flesh and blood for money to feed a copious amount of addictions. When he wasn't being treated like dirt by the ones who were meant to raise and care for him, Kid lived on the streets in the junkpiles that littered his hometown (think similar to the Gray Terminal where Loof grew up). He'd scrounge around for scrap metal to make toys out of, and whenever that got boring, he'd look for trouble in the form of instigating adults into fights. What else was a child with no supervision supposed to do? Eventually this way of living grew to be too much. The anger and resentment at his parents for forcing him into less than ideal situations festered until he just couldn't take it anymore. He killed them with his bare hands, without a single care to what he was actually doing. All that mattered to him was it needed to stop. It didn't exactly change his living conditions; he was practically living on his own on the streets at this point anyway. But he wouldn't have to suffer anymore. As much as he would've liked, it didn't ease the anger inside him either. If anything, he got more violent, lashing out at anyone or anything that so much as looked at him wrong. And that's how he met Killer when he was around 13, and they've been inseparable ever since. — Because of the vile things his parents made him do, Kid has a very strong aversion to touch. Unless he initiates, or it's his immediate crew, don't try and touch him. There is a high chance that he will become violent and potentially kill you.

|| Hey guys, just wanted to give everyone a heads up that I'm going to be pretty low activity across all my blogs for the next couple weeks. I'm not going to go into detail, but something serious happened in my personal life that requires a lot of my attention right now. Trying to focus on doing drafts, especially the longer ones I have with all you amazing people, is near impossible. I'm still here, lurking about like the trash raccoon that I am, just... drafts'll be on the back burner for now. If I get the sudden energy, or the time, to respond to some things, great, but don't put a whole lot of expectations on me. Might post the odd little meme here and there for distractions, who knows. Don't worry, I'm fine. Just taking things one day at a time.
