Jogging was a good way to clear one’s head. Gave Izuku time to think, reflect on the things that had happened to him over the last couple of weeks, time to train himself and recuperate socially. It gave him time to-
Who was he kidding- that boy was spaced out as he ran, headphones in, blaring some kind of electronic music as he began to cycle through all of the intricate and obtuse uses of Aoyama’s quirk. Application was, after all, a hobby of his, and no classmate would be left out of his list! So, bellybutton laser… Unique, certainly. Widely applicable? He hated to say no. So, then of course, not no! He just needed to get more creative with it. Obviously it could be used offensively, as the laser was shown to act at least in some form or manner as a plasma- it had mass and inertia and clearly interacted with physical objects that it hit. So he could impact an enemy with it. Check and check. Okay, what else? It was sparkly, and seemed to radiate it’s own light source. So a beacon of sorts! Hardly subtle, but in a pinch it could definitely work to call for aid and–
And he was absolutely not watching where he was running. That tree root just jumped right out in front of him! No, it didn’t, but he certainly did sprawl forward all the same, emitting a guttural and unbecoming, “Wahhh-!” as he struggled to keep balance. Shoot, his knees were going to feel that tomorrow, but nothing that a little peroxide and willpower couldn’t overco–
Who was this? Izuku watched as the kid tugged a box out of his pocket. Bandages….? Izuku offered a placating smile, waving his hands. “Oh- oh, no, it’s okay! Really it’s not that-!” …. okay maybe his left knee was bleeding pretty bad… He hissed a bit, shifting where he was sitting. “… are you sure? I’d really appreciate it.”
Stubborn. That was probably a good way to describe Frisk. Especially when they were met with opposition and they could actually do something about it. Not to say Frisk actively seeked out anything, but with the way the boy had fallen (how had he tripped over that root? It was almost as big as his foot!) and the look of his bloody knee had Frisk’s feet spread in a stance to clearly say they weren’t leaving. And out those bandages were still held towards Spinach Hair. Waiting for him to take it.
This wasn’t that new to Frisk. Being the bandage giver. Frisk had a lot of them, and they were usually the ones that rushed out to their classmates when they’d fallen or otherwise got hurt. Sometimes it caused Frisk problems later.
But Frisk figured this grown kid wouldn’t do that to them.
Even if they only really understood about two things he had said.
Swallowing thickly, Frisk waited for the box to be taken. Once it had and the bandages were even slightly inspected, it would be noticed it was covered in English. From the name to the descriptions and instructions on how to use it. Frisk hadn’t run out quite yet of their personal stash of Neon Bandages they’d brought in from the US, and they hoped they would have enough by the end of the year.
Lifting their hands, Frisk pointed to Izuku, pulled their hand back to tap at their forehead, before twirling an L-shape with their hands. The question was a simple one, and one Frisk hoped would be a ‘yes’.
Do you know Sign?
