“Hey! You’re new around here, aren’t’cha?”
An enthusiastic greeting all but barked at the stranger, ears perked in acute interest — he was very much intrigued. And perhaps moving in just a touch too close for comfort as he examined the other. His demeanor was comparable to a friendly dog eagerly rushing forward to befriend someone new, if anything.
It was exciting, something to break the tedium of everyday life. Not that his friends weren’t interesting, but someone new was doubly so!
