     Her blood, once pumping hot from the fight had now gone cold. Displeasing or upsetting Sionis was the last thing she wanted to do. Up until now they’d always been on good terms as far as she was aware but it seemed she’d really crossed a line. With her heart pounding in her chest she averted her gaze and lowered her head, taking a submissive pose.

           “I know and I apologize. I let my anger get the best of me,” slowly she glanced back up. While walking through his place she’d overheard someone talking too much shit; some of it about her boss as well. Despite her best attempts to remain cool his taunts after her comment had worked under her skin. She had managed to hold back her anger for a moment but before she knew it she had slammed his glass against his head and started a fight with some of the others that had slipped inside with him. It was only when Sionis appeared did everything defuse.

COSTIA

                        It had been a long night spent moving back and forth between her bed and the washroom. The illness had struck shortly after Lexa had departed from a small feast with a group of ambassadors. Her body had grown hot, and sweaty from fever and the food she had eaten the previous day did not sit well in her stomach. 

                        After a night of little sleep, Lexa had given the men stationed outside her room brief orders to refuse visitors today. She refused to be seen in such a pathetic, sickly state. However, the morning sunlight had hardly warmed her room before the doors to her room opened. 

                        Seated at the edge of her bed, still dressed in her night clothes, Lexa let out a breath. “I order the guards to refuse all visitors today. How did you...” Her harsh, angry words fell away the minute her eyes laid upon her visitor. She immediately stood, her room spinning for a brief moment. 

                        “Costia,” she spoke her name softly, all anger from before gone. “I did not know that you were here.”

  The dart had missed its mark, fallen into the water, disappeared. Ñolofinwë pulled his hand out from tthe cover of his cloak for another javelin to be handed handed forward, that he thrust anew into Arakáno’s hand, tip pointed at the hole hewn into the stark white ice that they stood about.

  “Don’t hold it so near to the front,” he instructed this time, arranging, underneath his own, his son’s grip on the spear, after they might only wait again.
