Arthur allowed the stock of his rifle to rest against his knee, movement slow and deliberate as he gave himself just enough time to formulate an ADEQUATE reply. Just gives me that constant Beth in the middle of a revolution/civil war vibe, and her attitude towards it. She feels very laissez-faire (actions may say otherwise) especially towards matters off Rook.

Beth is, to me in my own canon world, a very grim reaper-esque figure to her enemies. The Rakyat, the Golden Path, etc. Don't fear the reaper is very much Beth's legend coded.

Self explanatory, I think. Beth's very, very self-hating and she has a low self-esteem. She criticises herself so much, and she just wants to feel "normal".

I feel so hard in my bones that this song is Beth coded. I get such strong pretending to be okay, and being confused that she feels that way.

It was still, quiet, a rare moment with someone so CONSTANTLY aroused by Rook as Beth. She was all giggles and jokes and snide remarks ( with him it was fun! ) , up until they stopped on the beach and called their trek quits. It was a long one, filled with stops to drink water and devour fruit. And, oddly enough, no animosity.

It felt normal. It felt like peeking into a universe where Beth was a normal, attractive, fairly funny girl. A universe where Floyd and Beth had a normal relationship, one not built on violence and depravity and exploitation for them both. Truth be told, she liked Floyd a lot. In her own way, she showed it to him all of the time. He was a good guy, especially by Rook standards.

It wasn't long before Beth had forced him into a wrestling match, and she let him win by not putting up too fierce a fight. Pinned against the warm, golden sand, his hand splayed across her chest, she gazed up at him and examined his features with genuine adoration.

His sudden words broke the lengthy silence, a brow arching. For the first time that day, she had no smart remark. No joke. No witty response to set him back. Instead her head tilted where she lay, feigning confusion.

"I know," Her voice came out as a breath, quiet. It surprised even her, how weak it left. Filtering intimately into the air between them. "Take a guess as to why."
