apophyllite
apophyllite: my muse’s religious/spiritual beliefs
Ahhh~ He wasn't lying when he said it before. 'Gods exist, but I don't believe in them at all.'
How is that possible? Acknowledging existence is belief, right? Well, but, recognizing that they live and breathe is distinctly different from deifying them.
As he sees it, [ gods ] are exactly as hopeless as [ humans ].
As it stands, plenty of people have taken to blurring the line already, right? These cults that form around a single human, propping themselves as heavenly-- and the swathes of people that believe in it. Are they wrong? Police break apart the illusion and force the [ guilty ] to admit to their people: 'No, I'm not a god' -- But nonetheless, the people who believed are shattered by it, and many go on to refuse and deny it, and continue living in the only way they know how.
Is that really an illusion, then? You've successfully reshaped the world. is that not GODLY ?
Recognizing it is not respecting it. We all have different gods. He has yet to find one that's earned his praise.
calcite ! if it hasn't already been done !
calcite: my muse’s social tendencies (introverted vs extroverted, parties vs one-on-one conversations, etc.)
He's very comfortable, socially-speaking~ Let's not call it 'extroverted', exactly, because he keeps fairly detached from it all- at least at the start. But he does adore interacting with new people, endlessly curious about every single one~ Well, except for the ones he's not.
'Parties' really aren't it, though. They're a fine place to run into new people, but he far prefers one-on-one -- or, he's very happy to listen in on conversations, too. Parties offer a good cover for that, granted, but they're usually a bit too loud for him.
At the core of it... one probably shouldn't call him 'sociable', so much as 'observant'. He rarely aims for relationships, he just likes to situate himself in proximity to people.

garnet: what my muse’s perfect partner would be
Match him.
celestite
celestite: how my muse deals with anxiety
Anxious! That's not a feeling he often gets. The feeling is usually more akin to frustration, you know? Maybe a more hopeless, stirring kind of frustration, but.. well.
Anyway. When his nerves are frayed, he prefers to isolate. If he doesn't decide to sulk in it, he'll sometimes grab up his dice and roll them a little while, straining to focus on the numbers and attach stories or puzzles to them. Or, maybe, he'll just open a notebook and burrow his attention in something, anything else- be it reading old entries, or scrawling out new ones.
If he can't isolate, he'll still try to divert his own attention. The 'something' mentioned before becomes 'someone' -- potentially, this is troublesome for the person. Potentially.
Pretty likely, historically speaking.

It's a bit morbid how often food becomes synonymous with pawn.
' Let's bond. We'll get coffee. ' ' I got you beat! You owe me a soda! ' ' You were too sweet, I brought you a cake '
Do you see it?
Well, people need to eat. People like to eat. People obsess over what they eat. Like that, it becomes an easy way to cheat into their psyches.
For himself-- That's about all it is, honestly ! A pawn!
what are the pros and cons of living a double life?
Pro: Hannah Montana references. Con: Reese would obliterate him for that.
Nah, but seriously --
Pros: Barring the things rambled about in the other post-- This 'informant' thing satiates his boredom splendidly, granting an excuse to dig and the means to do it. He's surely going about it in plenty of wrong ways, but who cares! He's happy~ It's a break from 'domestic life', which he's going about in even wronger ways. He can breathe over here. His sticky conscience isn't grieved by playing around with people a bit.
Cons: The extent to which the 'information' people want has skewed toward advertisements is laughably painful. Thank god he's not in this for the money, though it's impossible not to notice the boatload offered to sellouts. Aye-- There's an excitement in facing scary people, the kind of people who really want the information he likes to get, but he actually values this body a bit! That sucks~ Next best is selling out to detectives, which tends to worm its way up to cops? Ay! Ay! Playing a role in law enforcement is certifiably terrible, but what's a guy to do~?
He doesn't care about any of that, which makes it easier. But still! He's fairly new to this line of work still, and at his current level, the biggest options he's spotted so far.... Again, thank god he's not here for the money!
It's lonely over here. But everything still exists over there.
