Gilnean Born: Born in Stormglen Village, many from the area would remember Amelia’s blowout with her family. Promptly packing her belongings and moving into the woodlands, seen in the village on occasion for supplies and trade.

Harvest Witch: While Amelia kept to her self prior to the worgen outbreak, she did have few contacts in the covens and magical circles which peppered the Gilnean lands. Many would remember Amelia’s reckless methods and refusal for tutelage at her young age.

Drustvar transplant: In the recent year Amelia has migrated to the woodlands of Drustvar, keeping mainly to herself and observing the population from her distant cottage (in which she is squatting). In secret she studies the Thornspeakers, Heartsbane, and Drust, in public she is nothing more than a passer-by. She speaks little after witnessing the public hanging of those accused of witchcraft.

SI:7: Kat’s position is no secret, to those within the organization or the public. Leading a unit focused on internal affairs, Kat handles cases that are too large for the City Guard to properly address, as well as rooting out traitors and cultists from the Alliance.

Uncrowned: Prior to her recruitment into the SI:7 Kat played vital roles in the information rings of the uncrowned. Posing as a street rat to better gain intelligence. Climbing ranks during the Legion invasion she later ascended to Shadowblade, though she blurred the lines between her life in the Uncrowned and newly found roles in the SI:7 at the time.

Underworld Dealings: Despite her lawful employ Kat herself is far from it. Always keeping an agenda of her own she’s self-serving, manipulative, and will do whatever it takes to come out on top. Making deals under the table with larger crime organizations to meet a common goal, or to help snuff out the “competition” in a win-win scenario. Keen on backchannel trades of Azerite, her darker dealings run deep in all underhanded avenues.

Gilneas: When she was twelve years old Kat ran away from home, a common point many would have known as the search for her went on for nearly a year with no results. Some may also recognize the family name ‘Hawke’, Gilnean merchant nobles her mother remarried into some time following her father’s death.

Freehold: Following the Siege of Lordaeron Kat had gone missing in action, later declared killed in action. Becoming a hostage during that time, Kat was forced to fight in the arena. Locked away and starved, she was twisted into compliance via forced addiction. Those who frequented the Fight Arena may recognize Kat’s under the Pit name “Darah” or “Shadow of the Shore”

✰ How did you decide your muse’s skills and talents? Do they relate to their occupation in some way?

It’s Munday!

When it comes to Kat, most of them were learned over time through RP. The only skills she possessed when I created her in late Cata were pick-pocketing and nimble agility moves akin to gymnasts. No combat skills as she was not designed to be a combatant or military character at the time.

Over the years, Kat watched and adapted to those around her and the situations she was thrown into. After her abduction and experimentation on her soul, she was forced to learn how to live with the abilities of Void and Light, and not be consumed by them. She never had a proper Master/Apprentice relationship; she never trusted anyone enough for that. Instead, she stalked and spied on Sealkath, learning from a distance (those that know Sealkath know that her apprentices have a habit of *cough* vanishing). It was a lot of trial and error and self-discipline to get her magical abilities to where they are today over the years.

Combat was much the same. Kat preferred to learn on her own than taking on a mentor. While she packed on the muscle and took up a boxing style for melee combat, her firearm skills still have room for improvement.

It’s been a balance over the years; I’ve always been watching her skill set and load-outs, pruning where I need, to prevent an OP level of abilities. I’ve adopted a policy of load-out rotations, locking certainly abilities to particular requirements that must be met.
