Melody shifted the stack of files in her arms, eyes focused on the ascending numbers that would soon seal her fate. She was used to pointless errands like this, running around the building doing this and that. Unconventional really for a Turk to be doing menial tasks, but her bosses had learned that keeping her busy was in their best interest. Melody had a pension for getting into trouble after all-then again this floor was probably the worst place to send her to.
The elevator doors opened, a familiar ding resounding through the cramped space, prompting it was time step off onto the Solider floor. And two steps in she knew she was already in for a bad time.Great.
The woman sighed, trying to ignore the familiar group of Soldiers that were congregated not too far away. She really didn’t want a repeat of last week and was sure Tseng didn’t want to be called again because they, or rather she, had started a fight. But in some odd twist of fate, she noticed them stiffen, hands raised in quick salute to the commanding presence passing by.
Oh?
Not one to ignore an opportunity when it presents itself, Melody quickly followed, clunky boots echoing down the hallway as she shadowed the intimidating figure, although not before sparing the group a mocking glance. They couldn’t say shit to her now, not with one of their superiors around. Melody could only hope that the other party in question didn’t mind.
