>Be the groggy patient.
Groggy would be an understatement. You felt like you got hit by a bus and then tossed through a sleep chamber for an hour. An hour too short anyways. Your eyes cracked open and you found the light was too bright and your head was too sore. "Nngh.." A few short steps resounded in your ears and darkness fell over your eyes. "S..Serena?" You muttered the name and she peeked under the hand shielding your eyes. "Present, sweetie. How ya feelin'?" If only you could answer.
You gave a short groan instead as you lifted your IV riddled arm to shield your eyes yourself. She moved her hand and sat on the edge of the bed carefully to inspect you. "Want me to call the nurse in here?" You furrowed your brows. "Huh? ... What happened?" You didn't remember hardly anything at all. It was a wonder you even remembered your own name let alone her's. "You fell off the aerial hoop. The doctors said you were very lucky, all because you twisted to fall on your right side."
"So that's why I can't move my right arm.. How am I supposed to take care of Sophie like this? Or do my work? How am I supposed to help Gustav? You can't take care of Sophie the whole time. What about Dib? Mandy? Did Canary give you any problems? I don't know about this, what am I supposed to do? I can't be useless, Serena. I just can't." You were talking so fast that she could barely keep up, but she was more concerned with the heart monitor right now.
It didn't take but a moment and the room was swarmed with a few nurses and the doctor. They shooed Serena away and took your arm from your eyes to inject a bit of sedative into the IV. You were panicking. What about everyone you were supposed to be taking care of? What about Mandy? Was she still going through with the bounty hunter thing? Had she already left? You didn't get to say goodbye. YOu didn't get to apologize for yelling at her.
This wasn't okay. None of this was okay. You tried to get up but they held you down and you clenched your jaw in pain before the black started to take over your sight and mind. Soon enough, you were out like a light again. Meanwhile, Serena was standing in the corner, fighting off tears with fingers pressed to her lips.
"Is he okay??" She asked the question meekly and the doctor nodded, explaining that it was a panick attack and that you'd be fine. That you had just been overwhelmed and needed some time to process the events. Trauma was hard to deal with, especially something of this caliber. She nodded, sitting back down and looking over to the bassinet that contained Sophie. "Dumb idiot... Always worried about everyone else but himself. Ain't that right, Sophie?"
