henry’s quarters are surprisingly not in the engine room. he’s taken up the living quarters closest to it, but does not tend to sleep there (when he’s actually sleeping and not just napping, that is).

you can get into his quarters through the door hatch, which is the way people usually go, but there is also a panel in the wall that can be shifted aside revealing a very narrow pathway out. this pathway is so narrow you can’t walk straight, you can only move through it sideways, and most people aren’t even aware of its existence, but it will lead you to a point a little further down the main hallway should you follow it. (where once again a panel will need to be shifted aside in order to get out, of course.)

the space itself is very small, just enough for his cot with a shelf that displays a few keepsakes (a few formless pieces of scrap metal, a small handgun that doesn’t work, the hilt of a sword) and trinkets (’souvenirs’ from all the planets he’s visited), a small metal chest containing his personal effects which is triple-locked at all times and a makeshift set of shelves to the side of his bed in which his clothes are stored.

it’s a very sober interior with no decorations and nothing seemingly even remotely personal. if not for his name etched into the door, it could belong to anyone.
