David and Jay being toxic soulmates is so real. the fact he knew jay was behind him. the fact jay will always be there haunting David's narrative.
this feud is gonna be vile.
David using the dogs to hold jay down or tie him up, whatever gives him the upper hand, and then taking everything he wants from the other man that plagues his life.
he cuts his skin, he fucks him, he hurts him, he makes him cry and bleed- all the same way jay once did. he wants his pound of flesh back, with interest.
I've been thinking about the impending finjay feud, and while I know jay's the smarter one, the sharper one-
I think there would be something interesting about Finlay being the one to have the upper hand, the advantage and maybe even the win in this whole feud. Jay's been in America for a while now, he's been injured, he and the bbgee have been having fun, joking around. while Fin's been in Japan, always working and scheming, fighting different factions and going through hell.
think about it this way— jay's had 72 matches from 2023 to now, meanwhile fin's had 252. yeah a lot of that is injury time, but David's sharper than Jay remembers. they last fought in 2022 and since then David's changed so much... he's colder, sharper, more cut-throat. he took what he learned from jay, the heartbreak and the pain, what he learned from all those feuds, the duplicity... it's changed him so fundamentally he's not the same man anymore.
and with that dog shelter promo? David knows he's not taking him seriously, he knows he's weak for the next strike.
I feel like jay is methodical in his violence and pain, he knows exactly where to strike to do the most damage. but David is brutal and relentless, he doesn't give jay a second to talk and try to manipulate him, he's all fire and rage and malice.
he finally gets an advantage over the other when in a particularly messy fight David broke Jays jaw, and the whole thing had to be wired shut as it healed.
Jays weapon is his tongue, his words, but he's left at David mercy without them.
david going straight after jay once the dr gave him the advantage. david always going straight for him. david lifting his head with the shillelagh, making jay look up at him. david towering over him, yelling at him.
something something jay white absolutely breaking and ruining david finlay, turning him into the monster that he is, only to have david do all of that and worse to everyone around him.
god, when jay comes back to aew and finally has to reckon with the monster he created and all the carnage in his wake.
GODDDDD when finlay finally confronts him for making him the monster he is. he just wanted to be a wrestler, he wanted to be his father's son and enjoy his life. but jay carved his heart out of his chest and then tore up the pieces.
now Jay's going to reckon with his actions. and the consequences will never be kind to him.
