It would never be admitted aloud, Ada’s most emotional emotions never were. To give a name to how she feels is vulnerable, vulnerability is something Ada struggles with since a young age. Ashley has become something dangerously new, not a mission nor an objective. Not even a liability or a civilian. She is an echo of a live Ada is still learning to navigate, something she thought she never deserved. Still feels she doesn’t deserve.

A friend who feels like family.

There is an almost unbearable brightness to her that is contagious for Ada’s dark life. Ashley had survived something terrifying and life altering yet remained gentle and untouched. This is something the Raven-haired woman admires, it inspires her that perhaps inside herself she can be worthy of something beyond who she is. Ashley is teaching Ada how to let another in, how to be vulnerable without realizing.

In return Ada vowed to protect the youth at all costs, to teach her how to face a world of darkness and never stumble or fall. In many ways, Ada has found herself bonded to Ashley in a sisterly or motherly fashion. Ada doesn’t smother Ashley with a sisterly affection like most would think, she listens and she stands vigil. She acts with actions and presence which is the best Ada can offer in a form of deep care.

If Ashley were to ever wonder about what she meant to Ada, she would never deny the familial bond. If Ashley is able to succeed in her goals while remaining herself, this would be Ada’s greatest goals. Because protecting someone as precious as Ashley has become to her without making her into herself, is the greatest form of admiration Ada could ever give.

Ada’s ideal partner isn’t someone who “fixes” her. It’s someone capable of standing beside her as an equal, strong enough to survive her world, patient enough to earn her trust, and secure enough to let her choose love freely rather than feeling obligated to give it. Once Ada truly commits, her loyalty tends to be quiet but profound, expressed through sacrifice, protection, and the rare privilege of letting someone see the woman beneath the red dress.

Outside of a relationship/just sexual

Ada is demisexual, for her to have any form of sexual desire towards someone she would need to have a connection or a bond. Ada rarely has sexual encounters, in fact it’s shockingly limited as to how many she had slept with. When she does, it would require a mutual attraction, with trust, respect and an understanding of what they are getting into. It wouldn’t be spontaneous but a highly heated build with the other, tension roaming high to the point it explodes between them.
