Personality
From her own perspective, Pavlina believes she’s someone with a big dream of becoming a famous dancer. She has been idolizing stardom since she can remember and has always desire to escape the isolating farm life she lives in.
That being said, in actuality Pavlina is a self loathing, sadistic and cruel woman. Driven mad by the isolation she endured, she begins to commit heinous deeds for the sole purpose of reliving her stress and pent up rage at her family.
Pavlina is heavily self absorbed. Although she despises the idea of being a mother, she still ended up mothering multiple children purely for the idea of having companions she can control for her own needs.
This led to her having a abusive dynamic with her eldest daughter Fraisine. Envious of her daughter’s youth, Pavlina would often take out her anger on the poor young girl which sprout issues she’s still struggling till this day. Pavlina will also force her to dispose any bodies of her victims.
Despite having many children with her husband Alan, Pavlina only holds bitterness and resentment towards him. Given how she saw him as a ticket out of her country life thanks to his wealthy background, her mental state deteriorated the second she learns he gave up his life of luxury for the countryside.
As a result, she held no sorrows or tears for Alan’s death and instead jumped into the arms of another wealthy man who will later become the father of her youngest, Cerreza. Though even then, Pavlina held no maternal affection for her daughter. Just mere possession over her autonomy.
