Paldea was beautiful during the day time, although far warmer than he preferred. Sunlight never really agreed with his complexion - that is to say he got sunburned easily. Onia was pretty sure he was partially albino, but Amethio was fairly certain that was it wasn't possible to only partially be albino.
Despite the heat, he still had a job to do: the black Rayquaza was last seen in the area according to the rumors he'd caught in towns and hotel lobbies.
And said rumors had led him to the North Providence. Even though he wasn't close enough to see the snowy mountain side of Glaseado Mountatin, he could feel the chill in the night air. It chased away the humidity that plagued the rest of the island in favor of a dry chill.
A small campfire was set up in the center of the broken mossy bricks that made up the facsimile of a building, and Ceruledge sat on the top of the crumbling wall overlooking the little camp area Amethio had set up, her trainer seated by the fire on his bedroll, prodding at the fire with a charred stick.
Ceruledge turned her gaze to Amethio, and broke the silence hanging over them with a low grumble, inquisitive and gruff.
"We're just going to be in the area for a couple more days," He promised. "If we don't see any signs of it by that point, we'll simply return to town and regroup with Onia and Zirc." Hopefully they would have found something to go off of by that point.
His Pokemon gave him a skeptical look, and he frowned back at her. She knew him: there was no way he was going to just look for a "couple more days." He was too stubborn for that.
"Aren't you supposed to be keeping watch?" Amethio returned her stare with a frown.
