Mini-Headcanon // Add-on: Sleeping

     →【 ❜; ✄ 】Noiz' sleeping position is a cat-like formation of limbs--knees pulled to chest with head tucked down to tap forehead against them, single arm normally slung loosely over legs with other hugged to chest. It is for two reasons:

        a. to make himself appear smaller. Given how his parents almost went out of their way to make the boy feel unwanted, often expressing their need for him to disappear, he tried in the way a child knows how. Making himself as scarce as possible, it began as the result of subconscious want to obey if only to do something correctly. Smaller, disappear. This is roughly 90% of the reason he sleeps in this position--it has stuck along with that want to disappear.

        b. natural defensive position. If someone were to hurt him, as people certainly have given his tendency to provoke others, some of which wanted revenge on occasion upon getting their asses beaten, not much physical damage would be taken to vital parts of body in this form. Despite not being able to feel it, he has no want to go into a fight with broken bones or blood obscuring his vision.

        Should he opt to sleep "normally" (on side or back or stomach with limbs not scrunched into ball-like position) it is because he has reached a very serene and trusting state of mind, even if only for a short while.

[x2] ☒ - A fact about the mun

   i. If my music isn’t loud enough to give me a headache I get physically uncomfortable and need to have it louder. And then I complain that I have a headache. It’s a vicious cycle that is entirely avoidable but I do it anyway.

   ii. I’ve failed creative writing two years in a row and every English teacher I’ve had since the seventh grade has told me that my writing abilities are sub-par at best. As a result, I have a lot of writing insecurities. They are s l o w l y getting better, however.

   i. Noiz prefers spicy food over any other. Because the only area of his body with a pain threshold at all is his tongue, food that is hot in temperature or spicy is a form of pain to him, often just taking bites right out of pepper-covered pizza that’s fresh out of the oven and burning his damn tongue on spice or heat.

   ii. The reason for his attire is not because he cares about fashion or even has a fashion, necessarily. It’s the farthest, in sense, that he could get from suspenders and blouses and the primp and proper clothing he wore as a child. He shed as much of that life as he could and refuses to hang to any memory of it, something as simple as suede shoes needing to be discarded and replaced.
