Hannibal savoured the lingering taste of Will on his lips as he moved away, the urge to pull him back in for another tugged at his chest. Instead, he opted to brush his fingers to get hold of the other man's chin, pulling his head back to look at him again. "I am a doctor of unorthodox methods. I only do what's best for my patient." He sighed against the other man's lips.

It has been 10 minutes since his last patient departed, leaving Hannibal to prepare for the next. A new patient at that. Two minutes from the designated appointment time, the doctor moved from his desk to open the door to the waiting room, an unfamiliar man awaiting him there.

"Mr. Russo, yes? Please, come in." He steps aside for the man to enter into his office.

He couldn't say he was surprised to see the man bloodied at the front doorsteps to his office. Despite it being late into the evening, he allowed Billy in anyway, showing him the same courtesy as if this was any other day and this was a normal situation. Materials were gathered and Hannibal went to work, gently wiping away the blood from Billy's face with much care and curiosity. The same care and curiosity that has been picking away at the man's already unstable mental state.

Hannibal breathed into Will's neck as they laid there in their bed, the soft glow of the early morning pouring in from the windows. He doesn't answer for a brief moment, basking in his warmth before moving his face away from the curve of his neck to meet his gaze.

Will's fingers were roaming across his back, a prominent one near his shoulder. A scar he has not thought about in a while. He does not flinch under his touch but his hand moves to card the other man's hair between his fingers. "They are all reminders." He hums. "Some from you. That one specifically from Jack." He briefly smiles at the thought; his most recent time back in Florence now so long ago.

The heat under the saucepan was dimmed down before he turned his attention back to the other man at the chopping board. He wiped his hands on a towel as he looked from across the counter to assess his work. Jay's eagerness to assist in the kitchen was admirable. He left him to chopping up the vegetables to start. They were unevenly cut but Hannibal still looked amused nonetheless. There was always room for improvement after all.

"As a man who commonly works with his hands, I say you are making excellent progress." He says with a nod of approval.

His gaze rests on the woman sitting in the chair across from him, attentive and patient as she recalls her painful memories. The afternoon light that shown through the window reflected softly off her skin, juxtaposed with the tension she carried in her features. It was an ethereal sight.

Once she mustered up all she could manage to say, the silence hung over them for a moment as Hannibal smoothed out a hand over his knee. "The price for your freedom." He says softly. "You survived."

He pauses for a moment in thought, tilting his head to the side. "Do you wish to kill them- your parents, for what they did to you?" He asks, expression remaining neutral as he watched her body language for a response.

“ what are you doing out here by yourself? ”  

There was a pause, remaining still from where he stood at the trunk of his car to retrieve his vinyl suit that he reserved for hunting prey. Other than him, nobody were to be out here at the dead of night. But, alas, this night was looking to be different.

The doctor finally straightened up his back before turning around to look at the stranger, the car's rear lights blaring bright, casting a long shadow between the two of them.

"I would extend the same line of questioning to you." He answers as he slowly begins to approach the stranger, his expression unreadable.
