— school life again today.
@tmlia
hyunjin doesn’t get it. she doesn’t!
this is korea sports university. SPORTS. so why on earth is she required to do a math class? it’s not like x and y are going to help her on her way to becoming the setter for the national team, so why on earth does she have to pass this stupid class? it’s her sole B- floating amongst a sea of As (turns out, her volleyball-shaped braincell does well when it comes to sports-related things! who woulda thunk, right?), and as much as hyunjin does not care about math, she’d like a pretty report card to bring back to dad.
still. this is ridiculous! she re-underlines the important points in the questions just as lia had taught her to... and then underlines it again for good measure. and circles it. and highlights it, as if expecting her blue zebra mildliner to unlock the secrets of the universe and make her... whoever was good at math.
it still doesn’t make any sense. hyunjin sighs like a long-suffering wife, and rests her forehead on the book, trying to learn by osmosis diffusion. (lia had laughed at her for making that mistake last session. hyunjin still doesn’t really Get the difference, but!)
“unnie...” hyunjin bats her eyelashes at lia, propping her head up with her hands. “can’t we take a break? pleaaaaaase? 5 minutes?” hyunjin pouts with a sickeningly cute expression that would’ve earned her a (well-deserved) slap from just about anyone else. “i did all these questions, see!” 3 questions in the 20 minutes lia’s left her to her own devices-- she sneaks a peek at lia’s work, and she’s done more than thrice the questions hyunjin has in the same amount of time. jesus, both pretty AND smart? hyunjin internally shakes her fist at the big man up there.
