"keelin, i love you and stay safe. i'll see you soon when you return from your trip," she smiled a little before she ended the call. freya sighed as she placed her phone back into her pocket. it had been two whole days since she'd heard keelin's voice and she'd been a little antsy. however, now she could calm down a little, especially after she received the assurance her partner would be home soon. freya turned around and headed to the shelf full of candles. she closed her eyes before reciting a spell in her mind. as she opened her eyes and saw the candles all lit, she smiled once more.

freya hadn’t put herself on duty to serve the drinks tonight, but she had merely been waiting for someone else to show up. she’d left a message stating she had found a lost item and had described it in detail. of course she wished she had seen it sooner the night before, but it had been a busy night. to pass the time she began to set up the chairs for the tables.

"it's silly," freya managed to get out as she pulled her hands away from her face. this wasn't something she'd ever been upset about and it felt so normal. after all, she'd heard about humans having similar problems. "nobody did anything. unless you count fate as a person," she paused, a sigh escaping past her lips. "but keelin couldn't make it back here today due to a hold up where she's doing her overseas work."

“you know, it was a pleasant surprise to see you back here again, sweetheart,” she smiled at her niece. she had just finished reading a story to her son as she returned to sit next to her. “i made sure to read the story you recommended by the way.”

the bar had been closed for about an hour and it had been her job to manage the cleaning. after the last few chairs had been propped up and the floor swept she released the last of her staff. “goodnight and be careful,” she told him as she closed and locked the back door once the person had left. she then walked out of the kitchen and behind the bar counter. a towel had fallen out of her pocket so she leaned down to pick it up before she suddenly felt another presence. “hello, there,” she spoke as she stood back up.”

freya had her door closed for a reason, having wished to not be disturbed. she'd been desperately hoping for some time alone to complete a few spells. so much time had passed that she found herself lighting the candle in front of her, signifying her tenth spell so far. freya blew out the match, tossed it in the nearby can, and then pulled her focus back to the flame. she closed her eyes and began to do the newest spell.

call it some kind of gut feeling or strange intuition, but she felt like there someone following her. her eyes often darted around to each side, not sure exactly where the other was. when she chose to turn around and saw the male figure nearby her brows rose. “were you following me? i could sense it, but for how long?” freya could be wrong to make assumptions, but she went with what she believed to be true anyways.
