having a tv for a head does in fact give vox body dismorphia. he thought he was very attractive when he was alive and now when he looks in the mirror he has to stare back into a screen.
sams attracted to anyone supernatural I don't make the rules
thing communicates by way of pointing, gesturing, morse code and sign language. being that thing is only one hand this can get tricky and where possible uses the rudimentary asl alphabet, though thing does have a series of gestures that make conversation flow easier if you are familiar with him & his speech patterns
there was a head canon question i answered a while ago regarding Damon and his preference for blood bags or live victims. I had previously said in a pinch he would take the blood bag but oh so preferred a live doner but now that i think about it i think it's so much more interesting / delectable for vampires ( at least those in L.J.'s lore ) to need their source to be living. in order to feed properly the blood must be warm, in that it must come pumped from a living heart. a blood bag / deceased person will provide some small modicum of satiation but it comes with draw backs. ' dead mans blood ' hinders vampires more than it aids them. it acts like a type of poison ( consider a bit of influence from supernatural ) and comes with an extremely bitter flavor akin to wormwood. it will keep them alive but it will incapacitate them causing dizziness, hallucinations, fever and delirium.
damon's blood tastes not unlike how he smells ;
his custom scent is a base of leather and aged wood mixed with clove and amber. top notes include hints of cinnamon and vanilla, if only a whisper, a deadly combination intent on a heady and dizzying aftermath.
his blood then would taste rich, almost sweet in it's nature, the warmth of the notes encouraging whomever had a taste to continue to drink. their comforting honey lacquered tea to soothe a raw and aching throat.
the way damon is inherently taken off guard by women who don't immediately swoon over him is genuinely funny to me. what do you mean the scariest person in the series to him is meredith: meredith. all because she isn't falling all over herself around him and can cut right through his bs. damon "I've been a regular cassanova since I was 15" salvatore simply cannot conceptualize a woman who isn't obsessed with him.
