“Really?” The girl’s hazel eyes fixates on the displayed items in front of them, examining every inch in order to find the best one of the lot. “I really thought this one looks like a winner.” She gestures to the one placed on the farthest right, growing hungry just at the sight of it. It was that time of the year again, and the two friends had been instantly drawn in by the wondrous sights of festive cakes decorated to the utmost perfection. It was just too good to resist. “How about we buy one cake to give to our friends, and we keep one cake for ourselves. That way it’s the best of both worlds.” She adds, a somewhat excited tone colors the girl’s voice.
“Let’s keep the cooler one for ourselves, and pass out slices of the other one back at the building. Deal? I make no promises that I won’t eat all of it before we get there though…” She lets out another hearty laugh before tugging on the girl’s sleeve. “You still have to help me holiday shop too, we can’t let food lure us in like this.”
Humming in response; she took a look around the bakery, the unfamiliar place catching her attention with every little thing they had. Chlöe wasn’t really fond of sweet food so she haven’t set foot inside a bakery till this day. Focusing back on the said cake, she tilted her head quite unsure of the difference between that one and the one she told her before. “ Don’t they both have the same ingredient? We should get one with chocolate and no cinnamon unless you want to kill me before christmas. ”Joking with a smile on her face, she took a step closer to the display, trying to read the name of the cakes in there. “ That is actually a really good idea, we can get that one you wanted for us and get a simpler one for our friends since that way we make sure they all like it. ” She nodded her head, pointing at the cake Daiyu mentioned before.
“ So that one for us and how about the one behind it? It looks like a pretty common one. Or we could get them brownies, that I would totally eat and they will like it for sure. ” She suggested after seeing a tiny sign with the name of the brownies on it. “ Please don’t eat it all before they get some pieces too. And of course! I actually need some help to get something for my little sister. Too many options. ”
