When you were mine | Stefan&Noelle
Running a hand trough her hair, Noelle came to a stop in front of the apartment door, leaning her forehead against the wood for a moment as she tried to gather her thoughts. She had been on her break when she got the call.. not only had she been approved for training, but her platoon was supposed to report for duty in less than three weeks, and would be stationed in the middle of Pakistan. An active war zone, millions of miles away. She had been hoping for something stateside. Fort Knox or the US base in Florida she could never remember the name of. But apparently fate just weren’t that kind.
Trying the apartment door handle and finding it open, she got inside, bringing the bags of leftovers and their dinner which she had brought from the Diner. It wasn’t bad work or at all unsatisfying, but it wasn’t what she had imagined herself doing once she graduated either. Then again she hadn’t exactly expected to find love in a small forest town either. Setting the bags on the kitchen counter she spotted Stefan, or rather the back of his head and shoulders, on the couch. Walking over from behind she leaned her arms a bit on them, those fine broad shoulders, quickly kissing his cheek. “You busy right now?” she asked, despite the news she was brewing on, Noelle couldn’t help the light playful tone, nor the urge to skirt on over the furniture to settle on his lap, which she did a second later.
