The jokes about Sam and Bucky hating each other are only funny to me when the punchline is that they actually don’t. No incorrect quote or headcanon that claims these two are just enemies will ever make sense to me, because almost everything in canon screams otherwise.
For me the good jokes about this topic are the ones that show how Sam and Bucky’s relationship evolved over time (e.g. Sam thinking back to his “I hate you” line in Civil War and being like: “well, that was a fucking lie”)... or the ones making it clear that their hatered is merely a facade (e.g. Bucky waking up next to Sam and thinking: “not this asshole again!”... only to smile and hug Sam closer before falling asleep again, because they were happily married for the last decade and he’s not fooling anyone).
I was never a fan of the “Sam is mean to Bucky for no reason and they hate each other so much, haha” content, but now it lost all its appeal to me, because way too often it feels like a person writing these things doesn’t even like the characters or at least doesn’t like Sam.
