Normally he didn’t bother with entertaining the conversation, but it was a slow night and he was laying low for a little bit so here he was. “Problem is that that’s not somethin’ logical,” Spike stated as fingers wrapped around the neck of beer bottle before bringing it to his lips.

Taking a generous sip, the vampire soon placed the bottle on the bar, blue eyes glancing to the brunette. “Everyone wants easy an’ nice and never understand that it’s not somethin’ one can truly attain...also ya live in the murder capital o’the state, love. Nothin’ easy comes ‘ere except killin’.” He should know, he’s added to the numbers in the last couple weeks since being there.

EYES SHIFT TO CAST GAZE TOWARDS THE PILE OF BROKEN WOOD, before they’re returning to the other vampire. “In my defense, I was thrown into the bench by a...a burly demon,” Spike began, eyes looking around the area before settling back on her face, “that I scared off...that’s why its not here.”

UNBOTHERED GLANCE IS TOSSED IN THE OTHER DIRECTION. A shrug is soon given after the question leaves the woman’s lips. “Drunk, maybe? Hell if I know or care,” Spike replied as he turned to face her, “but word o’advice, wouldn’t go ‘round advertising yer insane, pet. Liable to get tossed away.”

@toodamnloyal​​ asked: When Spike returned to his crypt there was already a body there. Sprawled face down on the sarcophagus like one passed out from a night of drinking was a local college student. Except, that same student was currently also laying cold on the hospital's morgue with his throat ripped out and body drained entirely of blood.

SMELLS WEREN’T UNCOMMON WHEN CALLING A CRYPT HOME. There was an overwhelming smell of decay that came from the leaves that fluttered in through the cracks and now mingled with the deceased in the tomb, musky scent of moth riddled clothing fading with time, and earthy tones muddled with dust. However upon reentering the crypt after picking up some much needed supplies, Spike gave pause in the doorway when he noticed the semi-fresh corpse on the tomb.

“Didn’t know folks were doin’ deliveries in this area,” he muttered as he closed the heavy stone door before making his way over to the makeshift kitchen area; a man needed a place to make food, yes? Placing the bags down, the vamp soon turned and looked at the body, studied it closely before giving a sniff. Eyes were soon to roll when he noted who it was as he walked over to the tomb and jabbed a finger into his side. “Oi! Wake up ya damn...honestly I don’t know what ya are still, but wake up,” he huffed, jabbing again for good measure.

“CAN’T SAY THAT I ‘AVE OR EVEN HEARD O’IT,” the vampire replied with a shrug. It was an obvious lie, he was fully aware of what the quiet game was, but he hadn’t played it. Not in the typical sense anyways, but he didn’t think the bloke or anyone else for that matter would count him being dead as playing the game. “Why, ya want me ta shut my trap, mate?”

EITHER HE WAS BEING SARCASTIC OR ACTUALLY BELIEVED IT. He was leaning more towards the other believing despite him appearing to be the brains of the dynamic duo that was he and his brother. “Well then ya haven’t hung out ‘round me long ‘nough,” Spike snorted with a shake of his head. He had plenty of people and other beings that wanted him dead and would do whatever they had to do see to it.

NEVER HAD ONE CREATURE CAUSED HIM SO MUCH ANNOYANCE. Well, that wasn’t entirely true; Darla had been annoying at times. Maybe it was a blonde thing, but using that would mean he needed to admit he himself was annoying. And that wasn’t on tonight’s agenda or any other time. “Riiight...an’ this,” he paused, finger wagging at her, “is why we don’t go for the newbies.
