morning, central squad offices // @tavihargrave
Ignatius is surprised when he comes in and there’s a fresh, new case file waiting for him on his desk. It feels kind of wild that he’s expected, or even allowed, to just keep going, keep working on cases, when there’s an open investigation going on with his name all over it. As of yet, though, there haven’t been any charges or anything against him, that he knows of, or he assumes because his pseudo lawyer’s lost an eye, or something equally as horrifying, and isn’t in the office to give him all the whisperings of legal updates from their lawyer friends he’s been relying on, so apparently he can just keep working as usual. It’s even more of a surprise, though, that his name is under lead on this case, a case about emails apparently, and the name below his is one he’s never heard of in his entire life.
“What the hell is Tavi Hargrave?” he mutters, as he frowns down at the case file, flipping through the pages thinking maybe he’ll get a better idea of that answer if he looks through it more. There’s nothing helpful, though, of course, because the case isn’t about Tavi Hargrave, it’s about a haunted email that’s been going around, apparently? He only has a vague idea of what emails are, knowing because of the computer class that Emerson’s teacher had mentioned she could take next year, if he was interested in getting her acquainted with technology from a young age.
He looks up, glancing around the room covertly, looking for any unfamiliar faces. Instead, though, his eyes land on a computer, a computer he’s shocked he hadn’t noticed before now, but then, he’s been fairly distracted for the past month or so with all of the trauma. And that must be Tavi Hargrave. Or where Tavi Hargrave is hidden. A computer. So he get up, case file in hand, and heads over, and sure enough, there is a man behind the big, loud computer. A man he’s never seen in his life somehow, despite working here every day.
“Hey, mate, I’m Ignatius... are you Tavi Hargrave?”
