time for a classic ( ft. @bloodxhound )
If he’s honest, he expected to see the interrogation room sooner. Breaking into high-security buildings, stealing from and putting individuals who own those buildings on blast, vandalism, the list goes on- it’s not exactly what Myungdae would consider the behavior of a law-abiding individual. Much less of an adjunct literature professor.
Not that Myungdae was trying to land himself there in the first place. It’s merely an observation. Neck aching, he looks around the room once more- grey walls and a glass panel which undoubtedly there are other people on the other side are looking through. Two aluminum chairs with a long table in between. No CLOCKS to tell the time, thankfully- although he wishes he could have his pocket watch at the very least. Not that he’d be able to use it.
He’s definitely not getting home in time for dinner tonight.
The door opens. His knees slam against the bottom of the tabletop and he cringes. That wasn’t supposed to happen. But then again, from what little he’s been able to wean from the situation, he’s not in good standing with the DETECTIVE who has just entered the room. This is just a questioning. Not an interrogation.
The detective is certainly a far cry from looking like one, with his leather jacket and combat boots. And here, Myungdae thought suits ( no ties though ) were the norm. Eyes avert. “I’m...going to assume you’re the detective in charge of this case. Would you...mind telling me what I’m doing here? I can’t say I know exactly what is going on.”
