ask meme: how the character feels about murder
After being in a mutual killing, watching another one, hearing countless reports of numerous people dying at once at the hands of one person, his stance on murder hasn’t changed. It’s unnecessary, even as a punishment, it’s wrong to take someone’s life, it’s hardly justifiable to just end someone’s existence like no matter what the reason may be. But the thing is, a couple of unnerving words have stuck with him since having escaped and it’s the idea that he and the rest of the survivors all have blood on their hands for participating in the mutual killing game.
It’s something he continually denies to counter that moral dilemma, that it was only the fault of Enoshima the culprits behind each murder were executed, but nothing could ever completely reassure them that he wasn’t at fault or that perhaps he should’ve voted wrong to avoid the guilt that came later on. That perhaps he should’ve tried saving them (although, impossible.) Murder isn’t a subject he likes to talk about, even casually, jokingly--whatever. And at this point they're just trying to ensure that nothing like his situation ever happens again.
