It’s early before check-out, Stella at a whopping 5′2′’ (yes I will mention heights in all my starters) on her tip-toes to peer over the front desk. She probably could have called for extra towels, but she hasn’t been in a hotel in ages, and Gallagher’s too fancy not to have booked a place worth walking around in. She’s looking, finger pressing the small bell in the front, when she turns to her side and gasps. She nearly stumbles, it’s a whole wall of a person. “You scared me.” She looks up, laughing a little, but it’s half nervous, like she almost died. “You look very familiar.” She turns to him fully, looking up, “Were you following me yesterday?” She jokes, because she knows this isn’t the case, but she has seen him at Gallagher. Finger to her chin, “Though I do think I would have noticed.” @clarencemccarthy
