The police precinct house was always busy in Vos City. Sean smirked and shook his head. Considering the amount of vigilantes in the City, on top of the regular amount of crimes... it would be surprising if it wasn’t.
Unfortunately, it did make it a bit difficult to slip a note to a certain detective. Even with his tech and stealth skills, there wasn’t any way Warp could get in there without being noticed.
Sean, on the other hand...
He stood from the bus stop bench across the street and stretched. He slipped his hands back in his pockets as the kid he’d hired to deliver a note left the precinct house. The boy wove his way across the street back toward the bus station; Sean met his eyes, then glanced at the seat he’d just left, and drifted off down the street. Behind him, he knew the boy was collecting the $50 he’d had folded and wedged between the slats of the bench; high payment for delivering a note, maybe, but Sean could easily afford it with his... employment, and it would guarantee that the kid would vanish afterward.
A thoughtful look flickered over Sean’s face. It’d been a week since he’d... welcomed Detective Shawn Wolf back from suspension. He glanced at the precinct house before he rounded the corner of the block, hands still in his pockets. He wondered if Shawn would show. Nervous excitement curled in his stomach, and he took a deep breath and shoved it away. He’d find out tonight.
The note he’d had the kid deliver had been simple:
Roof of the precinct house. 10pm.
For now, he’d just have to wait. He’d head home, have dinner, and get geared up - then head to the roof.
Several hours later, Warp swung over the edge of the roof of the precinct house and landed silently in a 3-point crouch, his left hand bracing himself on the roof while his right hovered behind him, ready to trigger his teleport device if he needed to. Once he realized that the roof was empty, he stood and stretched, then prowled to the ledge at the edge of the roof. He glanced at his watch; 9:45 pm, plenty of time. He scanned the ledge and found a good place to lounge, out of direct light, and where he had a good view of the surrounding city. He settled into place, getting comfortable to wait.
