After the criticism Sophie had to face due to her contract with Starcast Entertainment, the company releases a digital single aimed at haters who have invaded Sophie’s life with their negative comments. The song lyrics were written by Oh Sehun ( @sehunxbt ) and Sophie, using real comments directed at the singer and specifically written for the situation Sophie and the company currently find themselves in, but also many other idols can relate to. The track was produced by none other than Chapel Record’s CEO, COLA.
The MV portrays the frustration of the female soloist in a cute and playful way. Sophie is followed step by step by Lovelyz’ Mijoo, who portrays the noisy netizen who not only invade the female’s personal space and privacy, but also disturb her peace by shooting yellow golf balls into the direction of the soloist. Those represent the criticism Sophie has to face as a celebrity and stand for the “ Yellow Cards “ the public has earned with their careless words. Yellow cards are usually used in football as a warning and given to players who behaved wrongly. By the end of the video Sophie gains the courage to confront her critics, warning them that she is not going to be bothered by the public’s words anymore. The red tint lingering over the frames at the end of the music video indicate that the yellow cards are slowly turning red, warning netizen of crossing the line again.
