are you good bro
ya of course im just bitching
Just saw it and it was soooo good oh my godddddd!!! I prefer the book ending (and the book in general bc it was more personal and you got the sense that he was stuck there for those 500 odd sols more than you did with the movie imo) but I guess they needed to make it a little bit more exciting with the iron man bit and then changing the open ending to what happened back on earth. The movie seemed to go by really fast despite it being like 2 1/2 hours long, but I really enjoyed it (.Y.) pt1
especially the first hour and a half) and I think as long as I think of it as a separate thing from the book then I won't compare it too much and start to dislike it bc it's not all exactly the same. Martinez was hilarious, I fucking love his character so much and beck and johanssen were so cute (.Y.)
Yesss I loved the movie so much!! I think it was a hard book to turn into a movie because theres a long time where it is just one guy alone on mars, and so much has to go into it that you couldn’t fit into a movie, but they did a fantastic job!! I would honestly give 10/10
The actors were so amazing, you really got a sense of all the characters, even if they were only on screen for a few minutes. And I loved the scenes at the end credits with all of the characters, I thought i was a great addition even if it wasn’t in the book, because it showed some things that they couldn’t fit into the film that were in the book. Beck and Johanssen were so cute I was so happy they kept their relationship in the film <33
I can’t wait to see it again on Sunday!!
Did you see Matt Damon and Jessica Chastain on Graham Norton a couple of nights ago? It's was really funny and they showed some clips from the martian which is always good (.Y.)
Yes I did see it! I actually liveblogged it haha it was so funny!!
It comes out on the 30th here (England) as well, but IMDb is saying that it's playing on Sunday at a certain cinema near where I live, but I don't want to get my hopes up in case it's wrong, I'll just wait for Wednesday (.Y.)
Same with me, theres a special preview screening at a huge cinema near me but you need to be a member and as much as I love the martian i don’t think i’m going to pay 100 euro for membership just to see it a few days earlier haha
I've got one of my friends to come with me to see it!! I was telling her about how good the book was and she said that its sounds good and she wouldn't mind seeing it so I said we should go next week!!!! 👍👍👍👍 (.Y.)
Yay!! I’ve been slowly convincing my whole class to come see it with me in the cinema when we’re on our class trip haha! What date is it coming out where you are? Its coming out september 30 here c:
