Ariel would have just left her stuff there and told him to throw it away but she'd practically moved in there by the time they broke up so there were sentimental things that she wanted to keep. Her heart still hurt and she could swear she took the breakup worse than he did but she would never know, especially since she vowed to never speak to him again after she gathered her things. All she remembered was them yelling at each other and her storming out crying. What’s done is done though right? No sense in dwelling on things.
"Thanks," was all she said before she picked up the box. She was already slightly damp from the light drizzle outside since she walked from a bus stop because she didn't have her own car. Just as she was about to turn and walk out without another word, the lights went out and she jumped, dropping the box on the ground before muttering under her breath.
Watching the scene outside, all Ariel could do was sigh and run her fingers through the unruly red hair of hers. "I didn't drive, I took a bus. I don't have a car, remember?" Picking the box back up, Ariel muttered. "I'll get the candles, light some and then stay in the living room. As soon as this clearsup, I'm gone, dont’ worry.."
