Since being assigned to the Heavy Guard you have witnessed four brawls over food, six scraps over weapons, and two separate instants of the whole unit getting angry at themselves over a blanket being taken from someone's bunk.
All in all, the Heavy Guard is a mess of a regiment.
The knight captain, Vetra, isn't much help when these scuffles break out, tending to simply watch silently before stepping in if it starts to get too out of hand, otherwise she seems more than happy to simply watch as you try to wrangle the gaggle of Angelkin and Demonspawn that serve as her knights. You've caught her smirking at you more often than not as you try to calm the collective, silently enjoying the way you fluster and scramble around the place. It doesn't help the matter of settling in that she calls you 'Tibu' with a smirk, pinching your cheek as she does, the pet name would not matter to you in any other situation, but the sight of her bare chest still burns in your mind, so the pet name makes your face burn with every uttered moment.
You have in fact now met most of the knight, and the gargoyle that sits as a requisition officer for this group of knight, the stony monster quite lovely if a touch scary at times, it's preferred state being unmoved until addressed making the jump scares you've suffered in the barracks immensely funny to the knights around you.
But regardless of the entertainment the knights get from your startled moments, you mostly find yourself addressing the aides and squires training under the knight, or standing to the side of Vetra when she delivers the roasters for the knights occasional assignments. Most days it's just training assignments, and sparring grounds slots, as the Heavy Guard isn't needed right this moment by the treasury, apparently the main lights and guard units are scrambling to act appropriately as their commander is away with his spouse.
You have still yet to actually meet the Knight Commander Adir, and you believe you likely won't ever get too. Not that it matters much too you, but it would be nice to put a face to the name assigned to the missives you have backlogged on the desk Vetra gave to you.
Most days are spent chasing after the knight captain, so you have had to request a special piece of equipment usually reserved for the aides in the palace proper. The board has both an inkwell and a small holder for a short candle, the clip attached was done by a squire in the barracks, making the notes you take as you follow the captain around much easier to keep.
Thankfully today you are kept at your desk, sitting alone in the main office of the knight captain, penning out missives and memos to be handed out to the aides that run messages between the treasury guard departments. Being so new with the Heavy Guard you'd thought it odd that your left unattended in such a high ranked officers space, not even your previous watch captain has let you sit unwatched on his office, but that was on palace grounds and clearly more important things were passing through his desk than here. Opening the draws of your desk you can't seem to find the pen knife that usually lives with your quills, no matter where you look the small blade seems to have simply vanished.
Sighing as you make your way over to the knight captains desk you look for her own pen knife, opening the draws and looking for any sign of a small blade that you could use. Being so ingrained in your search you'd hardly noticed when Vetra had entered her office, the Angelkin's steps light as she walks around her desk and settles into place behind you, the slow spread of her wings casting as shadow over you as they begin to block out the lanterns burning on the walls behind you.
You only truly startled when she came to coo into your ear, arms wrapping around your waist as she pulled you up and into her chest, pressing the full length of herself against you back as she hooked her chin over your shoulder. "And what could you be looking for Tibu? Has my new aide already lost a desk gift from the treasury guard?-" there is a trill to her words, more curious than chiding, "-Or were you simply curious about what I keep in my desk?"
It's hard to find the words to answer your new captain, especially as her hands begin to wander, moving from your waist to your hips, squeezing and grabbing at them as she coos softly, almost amused by the softness she feels there in comparison to the hard lines of her own battle earned muscle. So instead you stumble through a half squeak, half whimper of her title and name, back unintentionally arching against her as she drifts her hands up to the small ties of your linen shirt, fingers twirling with the closure as she thinks for a moment. The sight of her scared hands so close to your chest dose something to you, something that makes your thighs clench and leads your captain to chuckle in your ear.
"Oh my Tibu… How cute." Her wings fold back and her hands slip away as she pulls back, picking up the quill that had lead to all this, pulling a small blade from her belt and swiftly trimming the nib back to shape. The small blade finding its way to tipping your head up, making you look her way as she dangles the quill between two fingers, "Next time, my Tibu look on my desk for a pen knife and not in it."
She uses the same small blade to guide you to where her own quill sits, next to a small capped penknife.
"Or perhaps not... I think I like the look of you pinned to my desk far more."
