July 15th, 1800 - early evening Vauxhall
"The last time you and your brother attended vauxhall, you came home with stolen fireworks."
"They weren't stolen and even if they were, it was his fault and not mine," Alexandre refuted innocently, brushing off an imaginary speck of dust from his sleeve in order to avoid his mother's knowing eye. "And what harm could we get up to if the entire family is there?"
"Enough." She said distractedly.
Frowning, Alexandre turned to ask if she meant they could get in enough trouble, or she’d heard enough, but then he realized a rather large gathering had caught his maman’s attention. It wasn't unusual to see people gathered at Vauxhall, but these individuals didn't seem happy in the least, something that immediately put both mother and son on guard.
Eyes flicking around, Alexandre noticed a woman somewhat on the outskirts and approached her, his mother close behind. "Excuse me, but do you know what's going on?" // @ladyaurelia
