1 ) a television series i recently enjoyed is . . . i'm currently rewatching the blacklist! because i was missing it and as it turns out, has new seasons since i last saw it. it's very eden-core, actually. like the similarities between raymond reddington and eden are like. sooooo fucking funny. please watch the blacklist.

2 ) a meal or food that brings me the most comfort is . . . oh, i could not tell you. i'm such a foodie. i love all sorts of foods from everywhere, and they all make me so happy. okinawan zenzai ( the best kind btw. it's over shaved ice and sooo good and sometimes they make it with mugi and it's very good ) or sanmainiku. some of my other favorite foods / desserts are grape leaves, kunafeh, any kind of sandwich or salad with fresh mozz I LOVEEE FRESH MOZZ so fucking bad, lamb gyros, IDK MAN I COULD KEEP GOING i love food KJSBDKJC i love anything with noodles. pasta or ramen or udon or literally anything. i love noodles.

3 ) 1 - 3 songs i've had on repeat lately are . . . bad bunny's DtMF obviously. damiano david's zombie lady ( i will NOT accept criticism on that album idc what anyone says IDCIDCIDC ), and ghost's lachryma. also cheating but beartooth's ATTN.

4 ) my favorite go - to hobbies or pastimes are . . . writing, obviously! and reading! i am always reading. i've always been like this since i was young. i was a competitive reader, actually. like did y'all grow up ( those of you in america, at least, idk if y'all do this out of the states ) taking those AR tests??? i was obsessed. like, i've always loved learning and reading comprehension as a skill was something i was super good at as a kid by like ... force LOL. like i'd constantly read book after book and take those AR tests and i HAD to comprehend what i read if i wanted a good score on those tests because my school recorded the points and like, i got first place in the entire school in 4th & 5th grade AHAHA. like i don't know if i was having fun reading or if i just wanted to fucking win but either way i love reading and always have. i was also writing like fucking eragon/star wars/ingo crossover fanfic in the 3rd grade before i knew what that was SKDJBCKJS THOSE WERE MY HYPERFIXATIONS LOOOL. anyway, i love cooking! i'm very good at it!!!!

7 ) something that always gives me heavy nostalgia is . . . god, any of the "old school" music i grew up listening to as a kid, either when i was really small or like, loooool when i was discovering my newly minted emo self writing fanfiction at my desk as i stared out into the street during a summer thunderstorm with rain beating against my window as the water flooded the streets and lightning crackled in the sky. i've always loved thunderstorms and the rain. i'll listen to things like early 2000s green day, AFI, or classic journey or sammy hagar era van halen ( best era of van halen btw i will not hear otherwise ), or my favorite new — at the time, anyway — emo bands like we came as romans ( they still have a special place in my heart. rip kyle ), etcetcetc. it's always going to be music! i love music. i'm always listening to music.

8 ) the earliest fandom i can remember joining was . . . death note KJSBDCKJSB. the next one was homestuck, i think. or maybe that came before. i don't know. maybe homestuck wasn't quite fandom because i wasn't in the community but i sure was rping death note and it gave me trauma because these old ass crusty dusty weirdo FREAK fujos in their 20s/30s were flooding my old matt jeevas blog for mattmello yaoi when i was like idk 12-13 LIKE!!!! GET AWAY FROM ME 😭😭😭

9 ) my zodiac sign is . . . ( & in my opinion, it should be ... ) pisces sun, pisces moon, and allegedly taurus rising. i asked my mom what time i was born and like she says idk 10 am japan time ( i was born in okinawa hehe ) but like idk the exact minutes so like it can't be that off, right. anyway i'm like so pisces-coded and i get the double pisces whammy so like as you'd suspect, i'm a crybaby bitch! i feel like i don't suit any taurus placements at all LMAO. except for maybe the stubbornness and slight possessiveness and inability to let go of material things of sentimental value ( i refuse to let go of this one baby blanket my mom made for me when i was like idk 2-3 like it's not like tattered and torn it's still quite like, in okay condition, but does have a few rough patches LOL ). idk what do you guys think suits me!! i have no idea what else i could be except for pisces but like, i'm such a chameleon a la bpd ... hehehe....

10 ) the last book i finished reading was . . . parable of the sower by octavia butler! i just finished it the other day. 5 star read btw. i bought parable of the talents the same day after work yesterday LOL like i didn't go to bed tuesday morning until i finished reading. it's soooo good. i love octavia butler so much. a top 10 author for me i think of all time.

11 ) my chinese zodiac animal is a . . . tiger!!! absolutely suits me and like, tigers have been my favorite animal forever I LOVEEEE CATS. ALL CATS DOES NOT MATTER. i just really am an animal person tbh it doesn't matter. i think my tigerness absolutely shows tho KJSBDC

12 ) my opinions on ghosts & hauntings are . . . i keep telling myself i don't believe in ghosts but like at the same time i will not play with the universe and i will not go to haunted places LMFAO. like. mildly superstitious to be cautious but with a grain of salt u know.

13 ) a few of my all-time favorite films are . . . LOTR AND THE HOBBIT. ALL OF THEM. STAR WARS PREQUEL TRILOGY. i do also love 1-3 obviously. I JUST LOVEEE star wars. also i was obsessed with the original marvel avengers film when it first came out like the grip tom hiddleston's loki STILL has on meeeeeeeeeee UGH.

14 ) if i could cast an actor to play myself, it would be . . . i'm super super super mixed so i don't even know but i'd want an okinawan actress for sure, and i feel like of the known actresses out there, fumi nikaido is probably the closest physical match like i don't at ALL look like her but we have similar enough features in like eye and nose and face shape that i wouldn't be mad about it KJBSDKJC

Introspective Reflection-- A lot of my characters have a very active internal dialogue, whether that's because the character themselves are very introspective or because I enjoy writing through a character's thoughts, I'm not fully sure. I enjoy seeing the way a character is thinking versus how they are acting, whether that's opposite action and thought or how the action arises from the thought.

Tragedy and Angst -- I do love a tragedy and I love the character drama that comes from angst and working through emotions. I do have some light-hearted threads, but my writing tends towards the more grounded, leaning towards angst.

Struggling Against the Narrative -- Sort of implied by my url, but I love a character that seems to have some particular fate (narrative) and is doing everything in their power to defy that fate. I love a second option or a third option even, when a character is shown the 'possible' paths and decides to make one of their own instead.

Probably run-on sentences oops -- I love a long, rambling sentence with too many commas and I'm so sorry about that! If there's ever a time you (the reader/RP partner) need something adjusted for clarity, please tell me!

Active Narrator Voice -- I haven't had the chance to do this much on this blog, but I enjoy a very active narrator voice, even and especially when it's a third person POV. Sort of like how Terry Prachett would editorialize in his writing and make the narrator seem like a character in the story as well, in addition to whatever other characters the story is actually about. I still do that a little bit with Nico, but I haven't found as much of a chance to do it on the multi here. (Although if/when my Dodger muse ever comes back from the war, he'll definitely have that.)
