Daniel or Danny to his mates was driving toward the steel mill when he spotted a woman biking alongside the road. He watched her for a few moments before turning back to the main road. The car in front of him seemed to be swerving a bit which puzzled him because it was only half past nine, most people wanted at least until midday to start drinking. He realized the danger just a bit too late as the car hit the woman on a bike hard. He watched her body fly in the air then hit the ground and land on her arm. He immediately slammed on the brakes as the other sped off. He shouted words at the driver and debated driving after the wanker, but decided he should check on the injured bicyclist. He slowly pulled his car over and jogged over to where the woman had fell.
“Can you hear me?” he called out after kneeling at her side. Her head was bleeding and her arm looked pretty bad. She looked to be unconscious which he assumed was for the best due to the state of her arm.
“If you can hear me love, I’m just going to take you to hospital. I’m afraid it’ll be too long if we have to wait on an ambulance way out here,” he explained wondering the best way to lift her. She was quite fit when you ignored the blood and mangled arm. He put his arms under her back and lifted her up easily. He walked over her to his car and laid her down in the backseat. He then jogged around to the front and got in the driver’s side.
He took one look back at her before he started the engine. He sent a quick text to his father letting him know that he would be late then started off toward the hospital.
