This event will revolve around YOU picking someone to make a gift for without revealing it to them until you post it. Of course, if it helps, you can send them anonymous asks about their favorite dramas, ships, characters, etc. just like a regular Secret Santa.

Henry VIII's court was known, in part, for its revelry and pageantry; it was only just that his son's should carry on the tradition. Meg had been to many festivities in her young life, but something changed about them when William became king. The English court was young again, occupied by energetic nobles with a penchant for celebration, many finally free for the grasp of their parents, if only for a while. The courtiers of William III's reign seemed brighter, happier, and more inclined to be merry than even their elders had been...and Meg had heard stories.

This fete, however, was special - it was a true show of the new king's power and influence among his people, unobstructed by the wishes of his uncle and mother, though Meg was certain the Boleyns still snuck their wishes into the king's plans. In any case, she was having a grand time, delighting in the evening's entertainment and not-so-subtly sneaking more sweets under her pale pink sleeves when Princess Elizabeth wasn't looking.

Meg was popping one such sweet between her lips when she turned to find herself face-to-face with the man of the hour himself. "Your Majesty," she greeted him, dipping into a curtsy before the king. "I beg your pardon." Meg offered him a sheepish smile. "You can see that I am enjoying myself, I suppose. This is a wonderful party."

         WALKING BACK FROM where she was outside, her arms wrapped around her arms, rubbing the skin that was riddled with goosebumps as she heard the announcement to ‘dance into the new year’ from the dj. it brought a hefty roll of her hazel eyes, instead making her way to the bar for something to ease herself into what was probably another shitty year. but the bartender was ignoring her, in favor for higher tippers in the form of viper men, who all but shoved her out of the queue, “listen, asshole, i just want a drink so either you move the hell out of my way, or i make you move out of my way.” she spat him him, hands on her hips as they laughed her off, only making indiana more angry as she tapped his shoulder and he turned around, knee swinging forward to connect to his crotch, “i don’t think you heard me, which is bizarre considering you have saucers for ears...” she began, seeing the anger in his eyes as she stood back up and towered over her.

                         "well, jimmy, i’ve heard that all the town needs is a really good distraction. we’ll be back on track in no time. pull up the dates.”

with gossip spreading across town of a mysterious fire or arson attack that took place on tuesday 2nd of march at holy cannoli, a well loved spot, there’s only one thing to be done. a few sensible adults (and gossips) from around town put their heads together and decide that the perfect answer to a crisis is to pull forwards the darkwood annual campout. while the weather might still be dreary and spirits may be frazzled, it’s set to be three wonderful days of fun beginning on friday morning and ending on sunday evening.

the characters do not know the complete events of the fire at holy cannoli, only that it is substantially burned down and there may have been people inside. a whisper spreads about a separate fire on the outskirts of town and the sighting of eddie the arsonist. “one man can’t be in two places at once.” some characters have been volunteered to take part in the set up which begins on friday evening for the campout which takes place just east of darkwood every year, those characters are reggie jr, andi, zeki, george and nat. 

this will be a complete dashboard event, from the time of this post you are free to post campout starters or anything in relation to the event- you are also completely ALLOWED to continue old threads if you would like to however it is important to ensure you are involved with this event too.

It feels as though the night should be drawing to a close but the party still rages on and somehow the door to their Father’s study is unlocked. Emilio stands at the side of the room while a group of drunken party goers tape an outline of a dead body. She’s feeling amused by the whole thing although by her estimations the body shape is wholly inaccurate, their Father was at least six inches taller than the bizarre semi-man shape on the ground. She would of probably found it more thrilling if anyone had bothered splattering paint or ketchup across the ground to bring it a new level of realism.

She hears the person approaching but she doesn’t move to offer them a look, she merely stands with an odd grin on her face. A moment passes, she turns, “If only they had the right spot. Guess the secrets safe.”

&& Taste of Chicago (Poseidon’s Bar Booth) &&Who:Open 

Today was a big day for the Faction- with the shipment coming through the Sigara’s ports, everyone’s livelihood was on the line. There was the Zhang’s drug empire, awaiting raw materials before they spun it into gold. The Lanoix had stakes in the deliveries, he was sure of it. Julian had done all he could to get the Coast Guard to comply and as it was, hefty sums guaranteed a swift process... that was until Rafal Kovali rose from the dead. It complicated things. It certainly put big red targets on the entire Faction’s backs, especially those that carried on the name of the executed five families. What was there to do... 

Fingers curled around a bottle of Mythos as he leaned back in the makeshift lounge chair. The decision he’d made to go ahead with less than savory plans could backfire. But he was Julian Sigara, luckier than a fucking leprechaun. All that remained was waiting until he got the faithful text message to move. Julian broke out of his train of thought when the seat next to him scraped across the ground- an unholy announcement that he wasn’t alone anymore. “Bold move, didn’t think I gave off the impression that I wanted company.”

Eldar’s welcome home party had been an anomaly, an event at which all Cassidy had to do was be present and not make any trouble. A rare night off from any type of work and she hadn’t even been able to enjoy it. The Taste of Chicago festival was not to be considered a day off for her; the attendees of the popular summer event could find her at the Cabaret’s tent, offering drinks to the passers-by after the were slid across the makeshift bar towards her. She had plastered on a smile and was making polite conversation, acknowledging a few of the club’s regular patrons when they approached.

She had just turned to collect another round of drinks for her tray when a hand landed on her arm and tugged; Cass turned to find a frequent client beside her, and by the look in his eyes, he had already had a few too many. “Mr. Morgan,” she cooed, gently laying a hand on top of his to try to encourage him to release his hold, which was growing a bit tight. “Are you enjoying yourself?” He didn’t answer, instead opting to raise his free hand to her face, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear and leaning in for a kiss. A palm met his chest, pushing him away. “I don’t think this is the time or place for--” He wasn’t in the mood to listen. Instead he pulled hard on her arm, nearly dragging Cassidy around the corner of the booth, almost out of view from the crowd. “Come on, Cass,” he murmured, fragrant breath drifting far too close to her nose for her liking.
